| I'll be picking up a new Colt Anaconda in 45 Colt from my dealer this week. I'm a paranoid bastard, and am wondering if it will be safe to shoot +P ammo in limited quantities through it? I'm thinking they probably built it on the same frame/cylinder as the 44 mag version, so it should be ok, right? Thanks for any info |

The Anaconda, both original and new were built for full charge .44 Mag loads no matter the caliber, so a +P .45 Colt is like a .38 Special in a .357 Mag revolver. Colt built the original Anaconda to handle the Ruger-only hot loads, and the new Anaconda is made of even better steel. |
