Echelon Alpha. It looks like they just reduced cost on the slide by simplifying the slide cuts, reduced cost on the magazine by not coating it black, and saved money on the optics cover plate/sights by using a plastic cover plate and a white dot front sight. I think the regular 4.0c slide is likely more functional, but I prefer the looks of this one. I hope they offer the "in the white" stainless mag at a slightly lower price for sale. |

Of course I have plenty now but might pick up some more 15 rounders for when I visit a certain restricted state. |
The 2nd is not about hunting, it never was. It was put in place for one reason and one reason only. You can't have them, we won't give them up, so get over it.

I like that slide better. Wonder if it's the one they were talking about when the Echelon launched? One of the people interviewed said they almost went with the other design so I'm curious if this is that design. either way it's good to have another option for slides. I'm kinda surprised there aren't any 3rd party slides on the market by now. Hopefully the new magazines are a lot cheaper, there is no reason in 2026 for magazines to cost $44.Thats another 3rd party opportunity that's missing. |

I have threaded barrels for both the 4.0 and 4.5 but would buy a Griffin ATM barrel if it was available just because I like the look of it (in fact I have one of their miniature breaks on it now) |

I would agree it's totally optional, the Echelon has a very nice stock trigger. I did Tyrant CNC's on both of mine. It reduced the take up so it's much crisper. The safety and then a slight movement of the trigger before it hits the wall. |
