What are the odds that Colt will make a new Anaconda in 45 long colt? I know they made them back in the day. I would love to see the new Anaconda with it as well. Thoughts? |

I have a 6" Colt Anaconda in 45LC. I'd like to add another one to the collection. If there is demand they will build them probably after they get caught up on the .44 mags. In this day and age, nothing is certain however. |
There's nothing wrong with a little personal baggage, it's owning the whole luggage store that's the problem.

They can't even keep up with current production demand as it is now. Throwing a design change and tooling up for new barrel and cylinders will only slow down, what's already slow enough current production. They have done recently custom shop request for different barrel length 2020 Pythons, but few and far between. Four to date. Maybe years down the road they will offer RPO options when supply meets demand. |
| Had a 4” 44 mag back in the day. Not a huge fan of 4” revolvers even though I have several. Prefer 2.5-3” guns or 6”+ guns. That said, I would be interested in a .45 Anaconda |
From the days when all the gun rags touted the RRA DEA rifle as the greatest ever. Those were the days when Magpul made magpuls, Bushmaster was Tier 1, Eotechs and vertical grips were awesome!

Waiting on some reviews from actual users.  Don't want to be the "first" after the recent track record of Anaconda / Python issues although I'd think they'd have those bugs worked out by now. |

Would this be able to shoot the more stout modern loadings, like Buffalo Bore and such? Or is the frame / cylinder too small for that? It would be interesting to me, if I could use it in the same role as a .44 Mag, but also plink at the range with the Cowboy loads I have for SAA. |

CZ has been pretty decent about getting new models out and about but, we'll see. I consider Colt's new manufactured revolvers to be about like S&W's ie it's best to inspect in hand before buying, as we all know, factory QC isn't what it should be. |

| I told myself that if they produced a 4" .45 colt, I was buying without question. I lied, had to go play with an anaconda at the gunshop before deciding to buy, lol. I really hope mine is as nice as the .44 I handled. As other reviews have pointed out, the DA trigger is nice for a factory gun, SA is a little heavy. I rarely shoot SA however. |

Too big for the round and a crappy selection of factory ammo outside of a few specialty manufacturers who charge a premium. Still thing .454 was the way to go. Can you use moon clips and .45acp? If not, that was dumb, if so, it'll get more buyers as ammo and good HP bullets are cheaper. |

Like 357mag, buy the 44mag and get 2 guns in 1, and superior cartridge in both. |

Back in the 90s, Colt would go around to gun shops with ranges and have Colt Days, where you could try their product line out. They had a 4" Anaconda in .45 LC. I spent years trying to find one, but everyone said they did not exist, but I know one did for sure. Totally not needed, but I would buy one if offered. The 44 mag was just too much. Edit, should have read all the posts first. I see they have been made. |

I regret selling it and the 6" I replaced it with did not fully fill the hole it left. I also owned a 4" .44 and it just wasn't the same. Lots of fun, but a buddy of mine wanted it more. |
