I can't be the only one waiting to see if anything interesting on the Bodyguard 2.0 front rolls around at the upcoming SHOT Show, right? For instance, if someone could figure out a viable RDS setup for this gun that wasn't so big it really hurt concealment, but not so small it was useless, my already high interest in this pistol would spike that much more. I feel like pistol RDS have come far enough that if one of the big optics makers and S&W came together and really worked at if, they could develop something good. My other suggestion for S&W is to make a Bodyguard 2.0 Performance Center competition edition with a match trigger, enormous compensator, metal frame, and red go-fast accents. Objectively stupid, yes, but it would definitely be a fun marketing exercise!

I showed him my green Trijicon HD’s on my Shield and he wants something similar. I haven’t been able to find anything for the BG2 plus he said he’d like a rear sight that is narrow enough that you can’t drive a bus through it, lol. BTW it ate everything we fed it 100% including 250 rounds of my 2.8 gn Bullseye reloads. Good shooting little gun. I might have to sell a Ruger or 2. XSsights.com has some up on their site. Not sure if they’re shipping yet(1/20/25 I believe), though. I haven’t picked mine up yet, but I’m going to try out the stock setup for a few hundred rounds and see how I like first. |

They first said shipping on the 15th, then the 20th and I just now checked and it still won't let you order. The problem my buddy had was the super wide rear sight and with his vision he just could not pick up that red front sight. I let him try my Trijicon HD greens and he could see those. I'm hoping these will work for him. I could see the front a little better than he could but my 58 year old eyes are not great. It doesn't stand out well. He likes the gun and it shoots good now that we finally got the sights adjusted. As well as these guns are selling I hope the aftermarket for sights and holsters takes off too. |

I just got one. Just ran 100 rounds of FMJ through it. 100% so far. feed ramps both look really smooth 10 and 12 mags fully load with a MAGLULA easy to clang steel at 25 yards. size comparison with iphone Attached File Attached File |

Just picked mine up this evening. Gave her a quick cleaning and I’ll be damned if I didn’t struggle to get the guide rod back in. Then I read that the muzzle end of the spring comes uncovered from the very front and that you have to just slip it back under. Once I figured that out, it was a breeze. |
|
>>struggle to get the guide rod back in<< Rather than fight with it I just bought a new & improved guide rod from Galloway, which arrived this morning. I got the stainless version and it installed like any guide rod should. Looks pissah too! |

Going with the black Galloway though. |

I just dont like that there is an exposed piece of spring that could come loose. The Galloway is fully captured according to the Q&A on their site. After a trip to break in with 100 rds of winchester white box round nose(flawless), my second trip with Hornady CD didn't go so well. Feeds SIG Vcrown well though, so im carrying that atm. Seeing a lot of talk about polishing the feed ramps to successfully cycle CD... |

I sent my BG2.0 back to Smith and Wesson a while back ago. Although it was related to a magazine not locking back issue. When it was returned, on the work order they did work to the feed ramp. When I looked down at it is, it was definitely polished to a mirror-like finish. That said, I have not had issue with CD or HST since the beginning. I think I will pick up that guide rod and a few of these base pads for the 10 round magazine as a birthday gift to myself. https://lakelinellc.com/no-pinch-pinky-extension-for-the-smith-wesson-bodyguard-2-0-10-rd-magazine/ |

Good for them if that’s the case. |
|
Polished my ramps and still can’t get it to feed the CD. Hoping maybe after another few hundred rounds it will feed it, since this is the only 380 I have and spent $100 on ammo that it won’t run. Live and learn I guess. Those mag extensions look pretty cool, I haven’t checked any aftermarket shit for them other than the spring which I still haven’t ordered. |
| I have the base pads and the guide rod on its way to me. Once here, I will give a small report here. As far as CD cycling, I did shoot a good amount of FMJ rounds through mine prior to trying out the two HP rounds I use. Hope they eventually start to cycle for you! |
|
I just picked one up yesterday and am planning on putting 300 rounds through it tomorrow. I’m glad I’m not the only one that had an issue with the recoil spring going back in. And I noticed that my feed ramp was polished to a nice shine as well. I know there’s a lot of conflicting info as to what pocket holsters do/don’t print badly. Anyone find that Goldilocks holster that’s not too bulky or doesn’t break up the silhouette enough? I’m leaning towards an Alabama Holster pocket holster at the moment. |

Would make a nice HD gun for those with recoil sensitivity such as the elderly, young or female shooters. Racking the slide would be smooth as butter. |
| I agree, its ergonomics are fantastic for me. Trigger is just right too, if my M&P M2.0 full size had a trigger like it, I would not have changed it to an Apex forward set sear. I also think the BG2 aesthetically is a great looking pistol and hope to see more using its lines, particularly the slide and the texture on the takedown and magazine release. Would not mind if the M2.0 had the same slide geometry and serrations as the BG2. |

The thin slide on the 2.0 is a big part of why it works well. It's too thin for currently made optics. Making a bigger 2.0 is defeating the purpose of the gun, i.e. a pocket pistol. |

Is it too small for an RMSc cut dot like the EPS Carry? I had my G42 slide milled for one and while it hangs over each side a tiny bit the screw holes aren’t near the radius in the edge of the slide. Certainly makes it too tall for pocket carry, but adds a dot for those who’d like it. Attached File |

Making a bigger 2.0 is defeating the purpose of the gun, i.e. a pocket pistol. I IWB my 2.0, I personally don't want a dot on it.. just increase the slide and grip length. I understand the 2.0 is supposed to be pocketable. But when I iwb a short length slide gun the grip tends to keel out making it harder to conceal. If they could make an XL version it would be really comfortable to iwb with how thin it is. Compared to the thinest 9mm guns, the 2.0 is considerably thinner |
| Ran 100 rounds through my BG2 yesterday at the range, mixed hollow points, some lehigh penetrators, mostly remanufactured, and some aluminum cased. Had one fte w/ aluminum case. Grouping was good at 5,7,10 yds, but am shooting low and left about 4 inches. Its my trigger pull am sure, need to get better with it but is a little tricky coming from glocks. Will get there. Will get another 150/200 rounds through and see how doing. Really love the ergos |

Really love the ergos While possible, lots of BG 2.0 pistols came from the factory w/ sights that shoot WAY left (the problem may very well remain w/ current production, don't know). Mine was one of them and it was simple fix to drift the front sight a bit. The gun shoots great, I just wish I could get mine to function w/ Xtreme Defenders. |

For anyone that wants a better rear sight. The bodyguard 1.0 fit and it doesn’t have that big ass u notch. Attached File |

| Also the factory sight is in there tight. I heated it up thinking it had loctite but nope, it popped super loud and I thought I had broke the slide. I should of shaved down the one I installed but it went in a quarter of the way in and I just sent it. |

Bought one in February and finally got out to shoot it yesterday. Recoil seems a little more than my G42 but I am able to recover quicker. It ran 100% with 150 rounds of various FMJ ammo and 20 rounds of Underwood 90gr XTP +p. I have left the mags loaded since I bought the pistol and the 10 round mag has loosened up but the 12 round mag is still stiff as crap. It shot to point of aim but what is weird is that both the front and rear sights are offset to the right. Thinking about centering them up. I have a Rounded IWB holster for it and it will now be my daily carry while at work. Does anyone know of a good clip on mag carrier? I have been using Comp-Tac's for my Hellcat and G42 but not sure which size for these magazines. |

If I'm really on, I can shoot head sized steel. The idea that pocket guns aren't designed to shoot to 25 yards makes no sense to me. |

Yeah, I don’t shoot paper so no idea how the groups are, but after adjusting the rear sight, I was able to hit a 12 inch steel plate out to 40-50 yards every shot. |

I bought one today at Bass Pro for $380 ($400 - 5% EMT discount...license expired 10 years ago Front sight looks slightly off to the right. Manufacture date of 3/25/25. This pistol is tiny compared to my G43! I had already purchased a CYA Supply Co. holster. Probably going to carry at 3 O clock IWB. I just took a new job and can't afford to print. This set-up seems like it will work well. ETA: The 12 round mag was difficult to load from the 1st round. I could only get 10 in mine. The 10 rounder loaded easy from the start with the 10th round being slightly difficult. Can anyone recommend a speed loader that will work with these mags? Will a G42 loader work? |

Just picked up my 2.0, guys running AIWB - what holsters are you running and would you buy again? Currently looking at: - JM Custom AIWB 2.0 Long (not sure if I should go with a full or mid guard) - Vedder LightTuck (Claw?) Anyone running the XS R3D 2.0 Night Sights? |

I have been using a Rounded IWB for mine. I have really fell in love with my BG 2.0. It recoils slightly more than my G42 but I recover faster. After 2 trips to the range it has been 100% and my G42 has been put up into the safe. |

Mine had a couple hiccups in the first couple mags with flat nosed FMJ rounds. It also will not feed Underwood Xtreme Penetrators. But with everything else, including the flat nosed FMJ´s since the first couple mags, it has been reliable. It does feed Underwood Xtreme Defenders, which I like. For now, I´m carrying with Hornady XTP´s. It seems to like those until I order a couple boxes of Xtreme Defenders. I like this gun a lot. It is feels great and is fun to shoot. But I have to say, my LCP Max has never had any issues with any ammo and is loaded to the gills with Underwood Xtreme Penetrators. I was going to sell it after getting the 2.0, but I still love that little Max. I can´t bring myself to part with it. |
