I kinda have the itch for a 22 lr pistol. I want something that simulates a service pistol. Which of these 2 would you pick ? I shoot Caniks now so I think these 2 have a similar as possible grip. |

The FN, Taurus, and I think the 3rd was a Sig. Of the 3 the FN felt better. A fellow who was waiting on someone overheard and told me to replace the plastic guide rod on it with a stainless version. I'm glad I listened, it made it run better than standard. So far I've been burning up some old ammo with it and haven't had any failures that weren't ammo related. |
The 2nd is not about hunting, it never was. It was put in place for one reason and one reason only. You can't have them, we won't give them up, so get over it.

Well.......... I can't find a Taurus anywhere.... The FN needs recoil spring changed and plastic guide rod replaced as soon as you get it. So as fate has it... Palmetto email changed my mind again. I wanted adjustable sights and something I would not have to spend money on as soon as I got it. So I put an order into PSA for a Ruger 22/45 TACTICAL they had on sale. It is a MK 4 so it has easy take down, threaded barrel, an optics rail and adjustable sights. PSA has some good deals sometime.... |

Might have to tune it a bit according to what I hear but it should be stupid budget fun. I also have a TX22 Competition with an optic that will stay basically stock. |

I mentioned earlier my extra TX22 was getting an FRT and a chassis. Here it is! Had to add a Farrow Tech slide weight to run suppressed. And it will only run with my Sig SRD22X titanium can - doesn't like the SEG Independence stainless monocore can at all. But so far it's a grin machine! And a great way to burn through a shitload of .22 ammo. Attached File Attached File |

I also prefer the way it attaches to the gun over some of them that use the frame pins in the pistol. I would worry about pins getting loose since they would have to be driven out to remove the pistol for cleaning. YMMV. |
