Not a review of the newish Trex Ironside hybrid holster but just my first impression after a couple of days for anyone curious about it. I picked this up because with 4 kids (2 that are still toddler age) appendix was starting to annoy me. My daily carry is a g19 with a tlr7. So far after wearing it around the house, driving for about 3 hours total, ball practices etc I am happy with my purchase. I’m 5’10 190 and in reasonably good shape and it’s worked well. With a normal fitting t shirt, khaki shorts and a tier 1 concealed belt the concealment is solid at the 4 o’clock. Comfort level with the padding is very nice while walking and sitting. I’ve done about 50 draws and getting to the gun is easy enough and reholstering isn’t an issue. And worst case scenario if you didn’t like it for iwb you can buy belt loops and use the Ironside as a range belt style holster. Be safe out there! |

I have tried the exact same combo and just can't conceal well enough OWB. I have an Ironsides for my G19.5/TLR7A/HE508T and there is no way I can pull it off. I'm 5'10" and 178lbs and work out regularly. I also tried the Tenicor Arx Lux which in my opinion is the best built and designed kydex owb concealment holster on the planet. Neither works for me regardless of what I wear. For a G19 sized pistol AIWB is the only thing that works for me. I have tried dozens of holsters and nothing comes close to the quality of design and construction that Tenicor offers. Thier gun fitment is limited but there is a reason for that. They arent cookie cutter designs. The re-engineer each basic design for the particular gun. I do love my OG TRex Sidecar for my Shield .45. I did have to modify it when I added the optic though this is an older pic and I have sice added DCC clips. Attached File |

I’m between the ironside hybrid and the raptor 2.0. My questions for you are. When you wear the holster, do the wings wrap your side with ease and hug your waist line without much issue? And, do you feel that there isn’t “to much” holster inside your pants? Again, thank you for the small review. Much appreciated. |
| I purchased one the moment I saw them. My primary EDC is the Walther Q4 SF. Finding a holster of any type for this pistol is hard enough but trex seems to have quite a few options and the hybrid is awesome. It makes carrying that much weight as comfortable as possible. I've carried this heavy pistol all day without realizing it's there. |
| I purchased the Hybrid backer for my G19/TLR7 Ironside holster. All I can saybis wow. What a difference in concealment vs the OWB option. Still not ideal for me and my body shape but muche better an expected. Also super comfortable. |

| I have a few of these holsters I love them more than my Tier1 Concealed Echo holsters and all my Alien Gear Cloak Tucks. The only part I dislike is the number of offerings id like to see them have offerings for the Beretta APX (currently the only Beretta they have an offering for is the 92FS series of guns plus considering T-Rex is literally in the same vicinity as the Beretta USA manufacturing plant makes it make less sense why they don't have more offerings from Beretta) and for the Walther PPS (they have an offering for the PPQ which was discontinued by Walther when they started offering the PDP). I also wouldn't mind them having offerings for the H&K USP series of handguns as well. |

Wondering if anyone has a Ironside Hybrid for an Sig P365 that they wouldn’t mind sharing a photo of? I’ve been using their regular OWB Ironside for a few years and really like it. But recently I lost 15 pounds and am in need of something to take up some room in my pants. My only concern with the hybrid version is that on some of the photos I see of other gun models the backer is wider than the grip on the pistol. In other hybrid holsters that I’ve used I’ve had to cut the leather backer so it does not interfere when drawing the gun. I’m sure I could do the same with this material but with the way it is molded and all the air holes I’m not sure I’d want to. |
