Besides Tisis, Ruger, Taurus, Sig Sauer, Kimber, Springfield, Dan Wesson and Fusion........Who are the makers of an officers size .45 or 9mm (higher end guns) ? Colt did the series 80 Officer's and the Defender. Detonics is in there and Nighthawk does the Bull Officer and 3 or so others.... Thanks. |
Citadel used to make a nice officer model sized 1911. I carried this one in 9mm for a few years, and shot it once or twice a week. It was accurate by combat pistol standards and was extremely reliable.  In 9mm, the Star BM has always been a right sized 1911 style pistol, downsized appropriately for 9mm, and with a bobbed grip that works great for concealed carry. In my experience they are also very reliable and combat accurate.  Neither are high end and they will not win awards for snob appeal, but they are well suited to self defense purposes and are very reliable. |

Im wanting to get a smaller 1911 for ccw turk and taurus is no go for me i dont trust sig or kimber these days so im pretty much set on Springer or DW unless i find something else that I am forgetting |
