On a whim, I picked up a SP01 Tactical that has an Impact Machine PewView slide and Impact Machine ported barrel. However, the trigger is still all factory. I also have a Shadow 2 that is all stock, but the factory trigger is significantly better. Wondering if I drop the Cajun Pro trigger kit into the SP01 if that will make the SP01 equal to or better than the factory Shadow 2? I really want to like the SP01 for its shooting qualities with the slide and barrel, but the trigger leaves a lot to be desired. Thoughts? |
| I doubt it could be as good as the S2. The SP-01 Tactical has a FPB & a decocker. The S2 doesn't. With all of that I really don't think it could be as good. I've got 2 SP-01's, one Tactical & the other is the standard model. The Tactical is all stock, the standard is fully cajunized. No FPB & converted to SAO. The trigger on it is right at 2lbs. I've also got a cajunized S2. It's hands down my favorite pistol. |

IMO you can get pretty close, but you'll have to do a detail strip of the SP01 and polish/buff contact surfaces. As mentioned, the fpb will have to be removed and polished as well as its channel. Then you'll need to polish the fp channel, trigger bar, rough areas inside the frame, etc. A full fluff and buff. I got my brother's 75B SA trigger down to 2.3-2.4lbs and the DA to 5.5. Pro kit, plus adjustable sear, and lots of elbow grease going slow and checking fit. I also polished pins...anything to remove high spots and rough areas without removing too much material. |
