From my other post I stated no click or noise from the safety. I soaked to whole pistol over night with BF in a can. I wiped the parts down and started working the safety back and forth. I got a click now. The safety is very firm. In a good way. I studied the extractor some more. I compared it to a factory SA35 . The SA has movement and angled like a standard HP . It has a little bump angle on the extractor as the case is sliding up. Giving it a firm hold. Now the Inglis extractor does not have an angle to it. It has no movement. I can’t press it hard enough to make it move. This is with the back end of a screwdriver handle. So it’s machined to sit in there with no movement. By purpose or mistake. I also looked at it against the breech face. It’s flush. There is no angle bump for the case to get by. So the case is slightly loose. Or at least compared to my SA35. I’m a newbie to the HP. And I realize I’m studying two clones. So I don’t know truly how it’s supposed to be. I’m going to shoot it tomorrow. I’ll report back. Attached File Attached File Attached File |

I’m curious if you ever tested your Inglis P35? I took my Girsan MC P35 and my Inglis L9A1 to a Friends to shoot. Both my Girsan and Inglis have been very reliable and the trigger pull on both pistols are very similar. I removed the magazine safety from the Girsan and it is much improved. Shooting the pistols they are indistinguishable without looking at the markings. Both are black Cerakote with similar grips. I was shooting at 20 yards at a painted steel plate and I shot a tighter group with the Girsan. I think I am the biggest variable in the accuracy. I think I’d need a ransom rest to determine which is the most accurate. I prefer the ascetic’s of the Inglis but I like both. I also shot my Tisas Tank Commander in 9 mm. I really like Commanders and the Tisas is definitely no slouch. Overall a really good day shooting three 9 MM pistols. Here is a picture of my Girsan MC P35 top and my Inglis L9A1 bottom. | Took the Inglis back out again. Flawless so far. Even with the odd ball extractor set up. Really accurate. I know fiber optic ain’t cool to some folks. I get it. But it really does help line up the sights quicker for me. I took some loctite and placed tiny bit on the fiber and the metal attachment point . It shouldn’t go anywhere. I’m really loving this pistol. |
