Been driving through threads, and surprised there isn't a sticky of CCW gear. Got out of the habit of carrying, and want to get back into it. Gotten lazy/complacent and need to fix it. My gear is over 15 years old, and is a mishmash of crap. I am 5'6" and ~160lb with a little bit of a belly from too many years of an office job. Working on losing some weight, so all gear should remain good once I lose some pounds. I have an office job and drive a bunch. Need right hand draw. Looking f or:
Springfield XDs 3.3 (Original model, circa 2015)
Beretta 92FS (Original, no rail config)

The M9. 92F series DA/SA is a fine choice and my suggestion is order a Milt Sparks custom made leather holster for it. I prefer the Nexus model IWB holster for a large pistol without optic. The 55 BN is the OWB model and while I have a couple of them I tend to carry IWB more often. If you chose to use the IWB outside the pants but inside the belt that is a possible. When IWB is inside the pants you have to intentionally buy pants a size larger. For the XD I suggest KT Mech “Company Carry “ or JM Custom Kydex. Those can be had in a couple weeks the Milt Sparks is almost a year but nothing is better. These models do not use a thumb break they rely on being close and very concealable. For a retention type holster Alien Gear Rapid Force level 2 but it’s only made for very few pistols mostly Glocks and it is not very close to the body probably the paddle attachment lays closest. Thanks gentlemen! Do you see a lot of digging into the hip and side with the IWB? Good to see beltman is still well regarded. My original ~20 year old beltman belt gave up the ghost a couple years ago and I haven't replaced it yet. Never bought a Milt Sparks - the lead time was always a little bit of a put off, but maybe its time to bite the bullet. Didn't realize they were semi-local (about 4 hours away.) I wonder if they have a showroom that I could try some things before ordering.  Dance, Those look like good options, but going for something that passes both for casual/business casual and doesn't scream tactical. I appreciate the pointers though! |

Got the KT Gunfighter on the way for the XDs. Can you recommend an IWB mag holder to go with it? They only seemed to offer an OWB option. After Xmas going to order the milt sparks OWBs for the XDs and 92FS. |

Decided to try out the KT Mech Company Carry. Came in today. Holy crap it is the most comfortable IWB I've ever experienced and fits my body way better than any of the others did. Thanks for the recommendation @Urimaginaryfrnd |

Dang, I'm about a week late seeing this one but can maybe offer a couple of suggestions. For the XDs IWB carry you might look at Tulster Holsters. I have five of these for different guns and have been pleased. I'm 5'-9" and in the mid 190's so I have some overlap and have no problems with comfort. Of the five, four of them have the belt loops instead of the plastic clip. Might be my imagination but I think they are a smidge more comfortable that way. https://tulster.com/?afmc=5x For OWB leather stuff I've been happy with Azula https://azulagunholsters.com/ or Craft. https://www.craftholsters.com/ Either of these will have several options for your 92FS. I have a couple of each brand, all pancake style with thumbbreak. I use Kore Essentials for belts. A lot of people like the more conventional buckle styles with heavy leather belts, I like the ratchet system because the adjustment increments are much finer and they are much easier to get exactly where you want them.
