| I own an SA 35. Love it. But seeing these Turkish clones ….,. I would get a basic black version. Parts interchangeable with Hi power original. Who’s the considered best , trouble free make. They are all fairly equal from what I have read. If anyone ranked them the it went like 1-Inglis 2-Alpha Arms/Century 3-Girsan. Probably being fit finish being the difference. I don't think the Inglis has the Mag safety installed so it gets the nicer trigger rating out of the box. If you want a more modern version then the Girsan would be the only option I've seen offer rails and optic cuts. Buddy of mine has the SA35 and Inglis and likes them both. Says they did a good job trying to recreate the Inglis. I picked up the Centurion and love it. Shoots nice tight groups if I do my part. I wish I had bought the nickel Inglis when it was on sale but the Centurion is nice. Not sure what the finish is, the only description is that it is black. It would also be cool to have a more modern version now that I scratched the itch. |
| Thanks for the reply. I’m a retro guy with this particular pistol. I always put off getting a Browning HP when they was being manufactured. I put off getting any of the surplus one when they was cheap. Now look at me , lol. I might go the Basic Ingis route. I’m doing more research. Has there been any hardness/softness issues with any of these. Anything peening badly after a 500+ round count ? I know buying one of these can put you in a it’s yours good bad or indifferent. I read pros and cons on sending these in for warranty work. I’m still reading / researching. Wardawg. |

If you dive a little futher into the manufacturing... they seem to come from 3 plants in Turkey. You will also read that the speculation is that your springfield also comes from one of the plants but gets final assembly in the US. I think I read that the Springer appears to come from the same factory as my Century. I like it. Back in the early 90s I wanted a hipower. There was a browning on the shelf at work and i would fondle it and loved the way it felt. But I got to fondle the CZ75s too and I ended up going with that. Love the CZ but I never did shake that desire for the hipower, I just never wanted to spend the money for the hipower. These turkish clones finally got me so I picked one for my retirement gift to myself earlier this year. Removed the mag safety before I shot it which was not quite as easy as it looked in the videos. Not for nothing, I was drooling over the SAR2000 stainless CZ clone too couple months ago when they were being cleared out for $299. I'm glad I bought the hipower before I saw that deal, I might have had the same decision that I did back in the 90s. PIcked up nickeled mecgar mags too to go with it. They work great. |

I have an Inglis and a girsan. The fit and finish both internally are very similar between the two- and both are very nice. The Inglis has a better fit/finish externally. I prefer the Inglis. The base model Girsan has a poor choice of front sight. I have the OPS model with beaver tail. It has sharp edges, and I seriously dislike the flair at the front of the bottom of the grip. I just don’t care for the girsan. I have several FN hi powers too, and can’t find anything nicer on them than the Inglis. Inglis is the way to go. |

I bought a Girsan MC P35 on sale for $400 in September 2023. I bought the black Cerakote model and previously mentioned has the ramped front sight. I don’t like the appearance of the front sight but the actual sight picture is good and the pistol shoots point of aim. I’ve mostly shot my reloads with 115 grain FMJ but has been totally reliable for me. A Friend was shooting my Girsan and had a malfunction. He was using a very high grip and I think he bumped the slide catch. The fit and finish of my Girsan is fine but I did remove the magazine disconnect safety which did help the trigger pull. I purchased the Girsan before SDS started importing the Inglis. I really like the looks of the L9A1 and may eventually buy one if the price is right. I looked at a used Springfield Armory SA35 and the fit and finish was nicer than my Girsan. The SA 35 had a better trigger than my Girsan. I bought a RIA 1911A1 FS 9 MM prior to the Girsan and as expected the RIA has a better trigger and is more accurate than the Girsan MC P35. Both pistols are keepers and I don’t regret buying either. I had a mid 60’s era Browning High Power with the ring hammer with the small sights and small single sided safety. The trigger and accuracy on the Girsan are comparable to the old High Power I foolishly sold. I 've owned all three. The Gisan was horribly inaccurate with all ammo. My high serial # SA35 had serious extraction issues that Cylinder and Slide's extractor, extractor spring and various weights recoil springs couldn't remedy. Both of the above are now boat anchors. I landed on the L9A1. Excellent fit and finish, total functionality and good accuracy. Love it. It would compare favorably to many of the BHP's I've owned over the years. |

I've owned a nickel Inglis and a Girsan MCP35 P.I., no issues with either one with several hundred rounds on each. The Girsan has acceptable machining and fit, with @ 8lb. trigger. The Inglis has better machining and fit than either of my Browning HP's and a nice 5lb. trigger. |
