Got one..did what I always do when I get a new firearm, clean it. My question is...is the button hard to press down to release the cylinder to opens yous? Thanks. |

I have the Ruger LCRx 22 LR 3” eight shot. I don’t notice the cylinder release button to be hard or difficult to use. I did buy my LCRx lightly used but overall I like the gun even though it doesn’t have the classic looks. You might put a little oil on the ejector rod as pushing the button actually forces the ejector rod forward to release the cylinder. |

I just purchased a Ruger LCRx 22 LR 3” eight shot about 3 months ago. On mine the cylinder release isn’t hard to push, but I wouldn’t consider it light to push either. It works well for me. I didn’t bother cleaning it. Just took it to the range as is and it shot fine. I’ve put about 500 rds thru it so far. No light strikes or failure to ignite. I can’t say that with any of my other simi .22 pistols or rifles. Double action triggers pull is HEAVY, but over time I’ve learned how to use it and now know exactly when it will break. Its not bad now. Kept it in the safe with the hammer back for 2 weeks and the trigger smoothed out. I’m liking this gun a lot. |
