What are the chances that a kimber mainspring housing will work without fitting?   Drop in?

Also where is the go to place for recoil springs these days?

Most Kimber owners are trying to replace all the Kimber parts.  Wilson or S&A for housing.  Wilson or Wolff for springs.

I replaced the plastic MSH's in 3 Kimbers with these.  Two were stainless, one in black.  All dropped in and function fine.  The fit like they were made for them.  YMMV

I have never had a MSH need fitting.  I have had tight ones but no fitting required.

I replaced the plastic one on my Kimber with a Wilson Combat, fit perfectly right out of the bag.
