The very first stainless target Kimbers came out with blued parts. They didn't have the stainless parts available and wanted to get them to market. Series 70 type, one of the first years: 
That was back in my CA days when the wait was 10 days or more. I bought it at a range, so I could shoot it during the waiting period. I lubed it and walked out to the range and shot an IPSC match with it, no issues other than a few clicks of rear sight elevation. |
