I'll say this ... super surprised by the DS Warrior 9mm ... sure its aluminum subframe but everything on my model is just fitting just right! Really diggin' the grip but the overall fit and finish seems very good. One thing, like all other DS's, the over travel screw is way screwed in ... so back it out a turn or so. For $900 and being made here in a states, gives me a good starting point again in the 2011 world ... I've had Staccatos, WCs and a Prodigy ... the Staccatos and WC, I just ddin't feel I was getting what I paid for ... Prodigy was good but the Kimber just feels right ... especially at the price I paid ... ($900 OTD). Frame to Fit and other crucial fit areas are on par with all the above mentioned brands ... more closely to the old STI 2011 guns :) |
Just picked up a DS 9mm myself. Fit is really good. Trigger is nice - haven't measured the pull since I can't find my gauge  but it feels like it's 4 lbs or just a hair under. Looking forward to shooting it once my optic arrives.Might consider a 45 if the 9 is fun. |

Ran the first rounds through the DS Warrior 9mm … used 124gr brass. All stock except I do run WC Shok Buff. Super nice ejection and very accurate. I did back out the overtravel screw and had no trigger issues. Very accurate and recoils very well. Did notice that the mag catch/slide release is machined steel and not MIM! Impressed. More to come. Needs a dot. |
