| I’m sorta interested in getting one. I think it would make a good hot weather edc (size and capacity, 21rds). I’m already in the 5.7 game, with a PS90 & RUGER 5.7 so it fits into the collection without adding a new round. I’ve never seen in person, let alone held/shot one so any real life feedback based on actual experience is welcomed. |

I did not know that, I thought it was just plain blowback. Ok, that explains the lube casing need. Straight wall (true straight wall) swollen by fire pressure is going to want to stick in the chamber if there is a delay. So a batch of budget cheap ammo (as noted above) not coat3d correctly is going to be a problem in a locked breach system where the pressure is gone before any movement. |

I liked my PR57, never had an issue with it. I had one of the first to come through my store. I keep it well lubed, but only shot about 100rds of SS195LF through it. Then dad mentioned he wanted one, without even knowing I had one, so I gave him mine. I also have an M&P57, which I thought had low recoil, until I shot the PR57. Not the MP57 has recoil, but its slide is much heavier and you can definitely feel that mass moving around vs the PR57's comparatively very light slide. The trigger in the PR57 is pre set DA, like on the Kel Tec P11 or P32; it is a long pull, and had to make the full trip to reset, but it is not heavy at all, and it is smooth. |

| I finally got mine out to the range. Low recoil is nice. Seems accurate. Several failures to feed out of a hundred rounds. The biggest problem was that the trigger sometimes didn't reset forward which is not an uncommon complaint with this pistol. Yesterday after I cleaned and lubed it I dry fired it a few hundred times and the trigger problem seemed to finally go away. I'll try it again this week. |

Welp, finally got out to shot a couple clips through it, 20 rounds, all 20 failed to cycle, not a great first impression. I was using American Eagle ammo, will try AAC & FN after I tear it down, clean and oil it up again and see how it operates. Hoping for the best...

| Looks like it’s going back to Kel-Tec; I broke it down, cleaned & oiled it and took it out. Only put 20rds through it, 10 FN and 10 American Eagle ~ 75% failure rate. With the FN, 5 of 10rds didn’t cycle or extract. AE none of the 10 would cycle. I don’t have any AAC, but I figure the results would be the same. Kinda disappointed so far. |

For shits & giggles, I took the MRD (Vortex Defender CCW) off, only 3 failures in 20rds all failed to cycle with AE ammo. 15% failure rate is still unacceptable, but I think I know what I'm going to hear back from KT now. |

I ran 54 rounds of Fiocchi 40 grn FMJ through the shop's 57 the other day. Once you figger out how to get the strippers all the way in there all 10 rounds shoomp right into the mag. Even loaded the 21st to see the little legs come out. No oil, out of the box, no jams, just very light recoil for 54 rounds. Did not notice the false reset when firing live ammo. |

That'll do. Shot another about 90 rounds today with no malfunctions, which was kind of surprising since this was 50 rounds of American Eagle 40gr FMJ. I've not read the best about it but it worked for me. So far only about 150 rounds in but zero malfunctions. Attached File |

| Put 60rds through mine today, 30 FN & 30 AE, only 1 issue and it was an issue with a round. I am having an issue with the loading, the first round hangs up so the slide won’t go into battery; probably a loading/user error. I did take the MRD off, I’ll put it back on and see how it works. I am liking this little pistol so hopefully I can get it working w/o issues. |
