I read several issues of the Shield X with not running HST ammo. Overall, are the bugs worked out of the Shield X and it's good to go at this point? I really think it is the best option for carrying currently but I don't want to get one with issues still out there. |

I'm one of those guys who had issues with 147 HST's. I've since shot Speer Gold Dot 115's and 124 gr with no issues. I have 1000 rds thru mine and 200 rds of that are gold dots. I am carrying it now and will continue to use the 124 gold dots. I was contemplating a Glock G43X since they came out with the 14 rd Meccar metal magazine, but I'm waiting for those bugs to be worked out/brought to the surface. I do like the X, I like the trigger, I like the size, and it's quite accurate. with 13+1 , I'm good with that and I can always run the 15 rd mag also. Once I get some more rds thru it, I will go back and try the 147 gr HST's just for curiosity's sake. But I'm more then confident the 124's will do the job if the need arises. I would tell you to get it and test your carry ammo. If you don't like it, you can sell it and move on, that's the way it is with most carry guns. |
