I’m out buying full-size longslide pistols. The gun I have had in this image the longest is the compact at the bottom.  Anyway. Actual question the second gun from the top. The USP Expert 9. It’s got a red painted spring assembly. It’s remarkably easy to rack the slide and it feeds some standard pressure loads easily. I intend to feed it a diet of Major Power Factor 9mm +P 147’s. Thinking the spring is a bit “light” for that warm of a loading. Any recommendations for what to swap it with? |

You're on the right path - the Expert has a lighter recoil spring from the factory but the dual-spring RSA will be helpful for 9major just like .45super When I converted a .40 to 10mm I switched out the primary recoil spring with a Wolff 18lb or 20lb depending on the loading Wolff sells a pack of varying weight springs so you can tune it to your ammo ETA: Originally Posted By HighlanderI: Well, we’re waiting……. One of the early USP45’s. I’ll try and get them all together for the extended family photo soon. I got a Wolff 16lb and it feels a much heavier than the OEM red spring. I need to find a 14lb. |
