Concealed. Full size 8 round capacity. I like the pistol and like the idea of carrying a .45 double action instead of a regular 1911 steel pistol. Rigs and ideas for both would be good. Thanks. |

Details, like where on your body you want it, and what you wear, etc. How were you carrying the 1911? Me, I'd I'd go with an AIWB from JMCK, like I use every day in the week with G19, sometimes 17. Or JMCK IWB, if thay doesn't work. A Blade Tech Total Eclipse would be great too, for OWB. I use one for my Glocks on certain days. Extremely concealable, and lighter than leather. |

I would like to carry iwb. I have a philster system with a Sig 229 holster. Maybe 0300 would work better. I also have Mtac for a 229 and Glock 19. The only problem I have is the longer grip section just like a full size 1911. I hope this helps. Looking for a few ideas or pictures. |

I prefer to have a double action trigger pointed at my prize than a striker fired. I also carry a 229 and like that as well. It does have a shorter grip but it is thicker. I shoot 220 better and have 185 hp going right above 1K I have some leather holsters and the leather creaks. |

I carried a P226 in a Galco* OWB pancake style with thumb snap after SC got CWPs (P220 uses the same holsters); as long as you have a cover garment it works. I used a Galco Royal Guard for IWB on occasion but I apparently lost it in a move and so I picked up Comp-Tac Minotaur (now just called the MTAC) which I like. Different shells for it are inexpensive if you want to change guns without buying a whole new holster *Galco used to make affordable, good quality, thick leather holsters but from several examples I've seen lately that's changed. I can't speak to their whole line, but their current Miami Classic (I have one for my P226) isn't the same as the old one I have. |

Boltaron/Kydex is thinner, lighter, impervious to water/sweat, tension is adjustable, easily modified if necessary, etc. For strongside IWB, I'd say a JMCK IWB. Tenicor is good stuff too, by all accounts. |
| Depends, type of dress, activity's, I have used, shoulder, pancake, scabbard, thigh when on equipment or ATV. Like most of us you will end up buying a bunch on holsters to try and always end up with a couple of go to ones. The one thing I do prefer is a good quality leather rig. |

There aren’t many (any?) pistols that have specific holster setups unique to them. What works for a Glock, works for a SIG, works for a 1911. I’ve been happy with Comp Tac MTAC, so I have a couple. If you like Mitch Rosens or whatever tickles your fancy, so that. |
