There's a used HS2000 available locally for $350, I know it's almost identical to a XD, any reason to not buy it? Is it significantly different from a XD or does it have parts specific to the HS? I have plenty of other pistols for carry/defense, this will mostly be a shooter or maybe a camping gun. I've shot XDs before but never owned one, just want to hear from the more knowledgeable before I grab it. I'm assuming it takes standard XD mags/holsters/etc? ETA: watched the Gun Jesus video on them already. I'm a Glock/Beretta guy but hard to pass on a good service pistol at a reasonable price. |

| I wouldn't unless you just want to have a HS2000 for the sake of having one. The XD Mod 3 is $300 all day every day, and cones with an optics ready slide. Ises the legacy XD magazines, same everything except for an updated slide and frame. |

The XD Mod. 2 has significantly better ergonomics than the original XD/HS2000 and it looks like they carried those over to the XD Mod. 3 with the additional benefit of the "memory bump" grip safety. |
