I was shooting my HK45 today. I started off with 230 gr FMJ ammo. No issues. I switched over to some Federal HST +P 230 gr ammo and every third or fourth round the magazine would release and I have to tap it back in and run the slide. This only happened with +p ammo. I thought it may have been my grip, but I payed close attention and don't believe it was. I only shot about 30 rounds of this ammo and it even happened once using my dominant hand only. I wanted to see if my left hand was causing an issue. I've had this pistol six or seven years and although I haven't shot it a ton, I'm probably between 200 and 300 rounds. This may be the first +P ammo that I have put through it. I only had two mags with me and this problem happened with both mags. They both had no issues with standard pressure ammo. Any ideas? |
