Seems Bruce released a tabbed trigger for the P320 yesterday, claiming it will 'prove' that 320s cannot fire unless the trigger is pulled. https://grayguns.com/product/p320-adjustable-straight-tabbed-trigger/ |

Came to post this. I’m intrigued and interested in getting one. I love my P320 but am admittedly apprehensive of it. I’d be for the tabbed trigger ![]() Sig 320 FIXED by grayguns new mod |

A mecahnism to lock the sear when you don't want to fire the gun is. I'm of the opinion the trigger tab will just make it even more sure that it it's not the trigger when a so-equipped 320 with one eventually UDs. |

Also, the words "We don't know how to do it intentionally" are not "it cannot be anything mechanical." *shrug* "We don't know why but something is happening" is a huge everyday category. |

If it was reproducible, then the defect would be identified by either Sig or a third party, and either there would be a recall (if Sig could reproduce it), or if a third party could reproduce the problem and released their findings, then we'd at least know exactly what is causing the problem. Neither of these things have happened. There does appear to be a problem. However, nobody has been able to produce definitive proof of exact failure mechanics, even on the same guns that already had it happen accidently. |

Even if a cocked striker slipped off the sear, the striker can not protrude from breach face of slide unless the striker block is pushed up and out of the way of the striker channel. This is true in any modern striker fired handgun. You can prove this yourself. Pull the slide off a 320 (or any striker handgun if you don't have a 320). Now try to push the striker forward so it protrudes from the slide and would hit the primer of a cartridge that would be against the breach face. You can't. You have to also push up on the striker block, and then you can see the tip of the striker protrude when you push it forward. |

There are a number of known, reproducible failure mechanisms of the striker block. Spring breakage. Spring gunkage. Striker block breakage. Striker block gunkage. Shitty SIG MIM striker block tolerances. And more. Check out the long P320 thread where it was investigated and proven many times over. The P320 striker block design is absolute fucking garbage as evidenced by the P365 not using it. |

The P320 striker block design is absolute fucking garbage as evidenced by the P365 not using it. Sigh. No one has been able to reproduce an ND with any of the pistols involved. Mechanical failures don’t just go away. They don’t fix themselves. The only way to reproduce an ND is by pulling the trigger with a foreign object. Don’t listen to me, check MSP’s report: https://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/MSP-M18-Pistol-Evaluation_FINAL_Redacted_Outdoor_Life.pdf Attached File Attached File Crazy! They got the gun to fire by using a key and doing so made the same mark that the pistol had when it arrived! What an effing coincidence! But that can’t be the cause. We all know there are a list of things that don’t actually make sense and don’t replicate the issue that are the REAL cause. |

If it did, you wouldn't have had to have added "On demand" or anything else. The words mean what they mean. These are assumptions. The fact that the failure modes - be they mechanical, or user, can't be figured out, is ... IMO ... even worse than if we knew. It's less predictible. If there was a way to mechanically lock the sear to the striker leg without impeding trigger pull that would be diagnostic of "is the sear letting go or is the trigger getting pulled" and you wouldn't see the constant arguments over "something pulled the trigger." It would be revealing. Just like how the trigger tab is going to be revealing, if it goes out at any scale. If sig did a recall and trigger tabbed all the guns and a UD happened on a gun with a trigger tab that would look very bad. |

All same holsters, same ammo, same lights, same ammo. Still won't tell us what the internal cause is, but we'll have another cop shot in the leg. |

Seems like the opposite of FUD. They aren’t trying to gin up any more of it anyway. ETA I grabbed one. I like GG straight triggers in my hammer guns, figured this would be worth a try. I have a safariland light bearing holster with the obnoxious gap anyway. First impressions, nice upgrade, blade doesn’t seem to be too bothersome. Will need a longer range session to really determine. A bit narrower too. If you think the 320 should have had a blade safety from day one, here you go. |
on the one hand there's [the media] and on the other hand there's the left wing progressives, and you can't really put them in the same camp that easily - JBP
Well, hopefully we will be putting them 'in the same camp' - Michael Malice

[url=https://angledspade.com/the-angle/press-release-angled-spade-technologies-patent-application-us20250164203a1/] This design positively blocks the sear while the manual safety is on. I don't know of any plans to bring this to the market but I wish they would. |
