The problem with the G43 is that the six-round capacity is inferior to almost every other semi-auto 9mm of a similar size. The problem with the G43X is that the grip is too long sometimes, like for pocket carry. The problem with the G26 is that it could just be thinner overall, now that all-metal Glock mags are a thing. What Glock needs to do is take the G43X, cut the grip length by 2/3rds to roughly the G43 grip length, and supply it with a shorter 10-round version of the new all-metal G43X/G48 mags. Basically, make a thinner Glock 26. "G43" would be a good name for a shorter G43X, but that's already taken, so I guess "G50"? |

Agree OP. My G43 and 48 are my favorite carry pistols. Glock needs to do exactly what you outlined above and have mag compatibility between a new G43 & G43x/G48. It would be a slimline analog to the G19/ G26 relationship. Some guntubers have said that they've heard rumors that it's coming, but who knows. |

I even held out hope for a metal mag treatment like the 43x/48 recently received. However a little wider grip and shorter like you describe 43x Shorty would go a long way to improve shootability. The standard 43 is quite snappy (thinner grip) with 124+p and no mag extension. If they could get to 8 or 9rd I would be very tempted. 10 or more and I am IN!!!! |

Similar to what shieldarms offers as their chop, but Glock factory without magwell. Have Glock/ MecGar offer the new 15rd 43x oem mags in a reduced size 10rd metal mag to fit flush. Full use of available magazines without having to recreate another Glock 9mm proprietary size magazine. Have it factory optic cut for K/RMSc optic footprint like they do on the 43x in coyote. Incorporate grip texture/swell like gen 6 Glock. Call it G43k, kx or whatever. Include backstraps, new Gen 6 styling, MOS, factory performance trigger, and take my money. |
