But realistically I have 2 Gen4 19s and 1 Gen5 19 and 3 slimline 9mm guns of various manufacturers I really do not want to get another 9mm. Maybe if they come out with 10mm flavors of Gen 6, I do want a G20. Id also want to feel the aggressiveness of the new texture in store first too. |
I stated previously that if they weren't going to go to an optic system like the RXM/Echelon/Shadow Systems, they should go with the Taurus T.O.R.O. ....... And they did ![]() Attached File Attached File |

Great to see these turned out to be real. The stippling, undercut, and beavertail is going to make these sell like crazy. Hopefully they didnt sink it by making the palmswell too big. Keeping the basic factory trigger I think is still reasonable, no matter which direction they go you wont please everyone. Even the GPT isnt the favorite of everybody and it would probably make them increase the MSRP even more. I wonder if the 43x and other slimlines will get the same update in the future? And if the G26 doesnt have a light rail I swear

| What is the knurled protrusion near the takedown lever? The gas pedal? New term for me. |

Yeah, helps you push down with your weak hand thumb, so you can mitigate muzzle rise and shoot faster. Hence the term "gas pedal". It started as an add on for use in competition. Now OEMs are incorporating them into the frame design. |

Glock use a longer recoil spring in the G34 which makes them shoot smoother. Your opinion doesn’t hold as much value as you may believe, because even after reading your post I still like the 34. |

The RSA is the same in the Gen5 G17, G34 and G17L. ![]() |

Good article on the Gen 6 Glocks. https://athlonoutdoors.com/article/new-glock-gen-6/ |

That seems like a ridiculous amount of time for what essentially amounts to iterative changes on a very, very mature product design. From my 20+ years in product dev, complete, New Product Development timelines for electro mechanical products usually take, at the most, 36 months. That's for items much more complex than a striker fired pistol, at companies with far fewer resources than I image Glock has available. I really like Glock, I just cringe every time they mention this 5 year development thing like it's impressive. Rant off. |

I don’t know how you haven’t been banned from tech at this point. You do this shit weekly. You’re always wrong. You always cover your tracks of bullshit with inflammatory ranting. Just log out for a little bit and relax dude. And all of this because you can’t handle someone wanting multiple options instead of just the one gun you own. It’s his thing. He hates being wrong (and he is a LOT). Then he gets irate and starts foaming at the mouth, cursing, etc which further makes him look even more goofy. Dudes probably in his 50’s…wife left him because he’s a miserable human…and now he takes his anger out on the internet calling people dumb (ironic) and cursing like a child. |

It is painfully obvious they are trying to keep things simple by making less guns and they're not going to make shit that doesn't sell. "Your G47" Where did I say I owned one? Because I don't. As for which gun is more popular, look how many g47s sold out all the time versus g34s that were on the shelf. The competition world has moved on from long ass gun. Cops have moved on from the long ass gun. You're the one that hit the spring lengths wrong. The Gen5 G17 uses the same RSA as the G34 and G17L. I didn't say a fucking thing about the Gen 6, but it's going to be pretty fucking obvious that all three of them are going to use the same rsa. Just like the Gen 5 g19, g45 and g47. You have some sort of fucking hard on to keep coming back at me when I give you the correct information. I guess you might be retarded and your brain cannot process the information properly. The Gen 5 17 should have just been made like the 47 with the 19 size spring and guide rod from the get go. What I want to know is what is better about the 19 length guid rod and spring? All the medium and large 9MM models have now moved to that in the Gen 6 guns and all the models they are pushing in Military and Police trials (19X, 19, 45, 47) are built with that 19 length spring and guide rod. Odd and very interesting! |

Odd and very interesting! I’m guessing for modularity’s sake. A department/military could buy a bunch of 19 and 45 frames and slides and mix and match to meet requirements. Would probably be easier than swapping around P320 FCU’s too. Walther has been doing this with the PDP but it didn’t work out with their German SOF contract. They came back and made Walther create a full length guide rod version for the full-size P14 after testing them. No public statement as to why either. |

Originally Posted By New2AR15s: Yes and with the factory price tag, not a couple hundred extra (mainly stippling) so I feel like its a big win for buyers This is exactly why I will grab a few. Previously it would cost me 2-250 for a stipple/undercut from someone that actually knows what they're doing. 50-100 for trigger, depending if I go polymer or metal. Add on another 50-60 for a FCD plate and I'd have to factor roughly 350-400 to make the gun the way I want it. This is turn key. All I really need to know is the depth of the cut so I can figure out which set of ameriglo suppressor sights I need, and thats it. I will absolutely be buying a 17 and 19- when they make a V/6 performance trigger, they will get that too. Actually, maybe I'll wait for the 19....get a 17 and 45, then snag the 19.6 COA when they release that......... |
