Anyone see them listed for sale yet?
EAA’s site gives the usual advice to “ask your dealer to contact our distributors” but I want to order one that’s already listed somewhere. Attached File |

I’ll be buying one if I’m fast enough

I don’t think we’ll have trouble getting them once they’re in the dealers’ hands.
These don’t have the refinements of the Springfield Hi-Power. The magazine safety is still there, and the same old hammer design. On top of that, there are all the guys who turn up their noses at Turkish guns. I think they look great. I want an all black one that I can put some wood grips on. |

|
I already have an order in at my LGS for the SA-35, he does a ton of transfers for me so I'd like to keep him happy. Can't afford both this year.

They said these were shipping yesterday so I expected to see some reviews on Youtube from guys who got them in advance. So far, nothing.

Well, I guess when EAA says the guns are “shipping”, it doesn’t mean shipping to dealers.
Shipping in containers from Turkey, perhaps? |
|
|
When these things finally get off the container ships and show to the stores if someone could be kind enough to post in this thread...

Supposed to ship in November. I asked them what was the status on their FB page last month and they ignored me.
I think they’re missing a chance to sell a bunch of these to guys who want a HP type and can’t find a Springfield at a decent price. |

There are two short videos on the Grisan MC P35. One video is on the range shooting a couple of preproduction pistols. The second video is by Honest Outlaw at an indoor range in Iowa. Looks like the Grisan MC P-35 are just starting to trickle into the country. If the Grisan sell for $400 I’d buy one. I have a feeling the price will be higher due to demand and limited availability.
Here is a link to Honest Outlaw video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJPkH34cWl8 |
|
|
The man in the video mentions it having an aluminum frame at least twice, but EAA says it’s steel.

They listed: Aluminum. They meant: Aluminum colored paint. YMMV |
|
|
I presume it’s steel, like my Tisas 1911 and the other Turks.
I’m curious as to why “Outlaw” would mistake it for aluminum, though. EAA put the video up on the FB page, but I wonder if anyone there watched it. You’d think they’d want to clarify that point, since it generally matters to buyers. |

On the EAA website it even states that for MCP35 advertisement. I watched the video a few days ago once. If the Honest Outlaw said it's an aluminum frame (twice) than he's not familiar with the firearm he's introducing. |

I just watched the Shot Show videos on YouTube and I saw a railed P35 from Girsan... that peaked my interest!
|
|
|
These are definitely real, and I handled one at SHOT. The trigger was... ugh. But not worse than a real BHP.
|
|
|
There are pics floating around of a version with a beavertail frame. I think the railed and beavertail options are currently mutually exclusive but, maybe they'll combine in the future.
I've always been a BHP purist, especially in light of the FN abomination. I'd be willing to slum with the turks to get a modernized version that is still true to its roots. It would prob be discountinued after a year though |
|
|
So where are they?

As per EAA's Website:
"Contact your local firearms dealer to place an order from one of our distributors below. Please have your local dealer reach out to one of our distributors below to purchase one of our firearms. You can submit a support ticket below if you have any questions. Most products shown in this website are supplied to local firearms retailers by wholesale distributors. If your local retailer does not have the item of your choice in stock, it can be ordered from their distributor. NOTE: Due to frequent state and local federal regulation changes some products may no longer be available in your area. For assistance in locating specific products or parts please submit a support ticket below." Time to have my dealer contact one of EAA's wholesalers listed for one of these $400 critters. |

Still waiting for the Springfield, maybe by the time the retail cost comes down my wallet will afford it.

Bought the Girsan today, 590 total for everything. I think I may have lucked out because there were 2 more there that were gone by the time I checked out.

I had seriously considered the Grisan MC P35 or a Springfield Armory SA-35. I owned a Browning High Power years ago and sold it because of the small sights and small thumb safety.
There were things I didn’t like about the Grisan and things that I didn’t like about the SA-35. I bought a Glock 17.5 with factory Glock night sights. I decided I didn’t want an old design when I could get the 17.5 for $525 OTD including FFL fee. |

EAA's Girsan MCP35 makes the cover of the May 2022 American Rifleman. Standard review write up inside.

I keep getting notices for back in stock at Grabagun, but even when I go to the site immediately they’re already sold out again.
I don’t know if it’s just normal guys like me who want one for the hell of it and are just quicker on the draw, or if it’s resellers looking for inventory, but I presume it’s the latter. Whatever. I’m a very patient man. They’re already asking for a bit more than the MSRP, and I’m not going to pay silly money on Gunbroker just to get one now. |

My ffl was able to get me a FDE model. I picked it up today it is awesome! I have been down since I let my Mauser Hi power go a couple years back.

I'm seeing these regularly in coastal NC gun shops for +/- $450.
Not wild about the sights, but they definitely seem to be a good pistol. Still holding out for an SA-35 though. |

The banning or confiscation of weapons is a denial of the nature of Man, a pathetic attempt to avert the violence innate to Mankind, an insult to the Sacred Creed of the Murdercube.

$450 would be a buy for me.
The only place I see them available is on twice-weekly “back in stock” alerts from Grab a Gun at $600. Always sell out again in minutes. Nope. |

MCP35 Ops came home today. It's been well over a decade since I had my hands on an FN made Hi-Power, but this feels pretty similar. The grips have a good feel but aren't too sticky or grippy feeling. The beavertail is a nice addition. The flat trigger is heavy and the trigger reset is long and barely tactile. The slide to frame fit has a little play. The barrel to slide fit is tight.
Hopefully we'll take it to the range this weekend for some testing. |
