I don't have a German made SIG. Comes with 4 8 rd and a 10 rd Sig magazines.  What should I do? |

You should buy that yesterday. Check the frame rails, but given the condition of the rest, I'll bet that gun hasn't been shot much at all. If the rails are black, it's essentially brand new. If they're gold/bronze, it's essentially "broken in". If, for some reason, they were down to bare, silver aluminum... that's different. But I'm guessing they'll still be black. If you reload, a low-ish charge of N320 under a 180-185 grain bullet will cycle that, shoot super accurately, and recoil will be super manageable. |

| I bought a W German 220 police trade in many years ago. Lots of finish wear and the frame rails did show use. Hands down the most accurate handgun I own. If we were shooting for money, that P220 came out. A few new springs and the Sig certified armorer said I was good for my lifetime. I did do some dremmel work on a set of thin grips to get them to fit just right and it fits perfectly in my hand. That is a great price for one that clean. |
| Remove the slide, look at the frame where the slide rides, barring any anomalies jump on it. I have a Herndon VA W. German P220, it's my favorite Sig. |

It's been carried a bit, but not really shot. Maybe a few hundred rounds. You scored. Keep the frame rails lubed and it'll last I-don't-know-how-many-tens-of-thousands-of-rounds. I've got around 10,000 rounds through mine, and it's nowhere near done. |

Got a chance to fire the 220. Very good original trigger. Not going to mess with it. Tested with a 8 magazines of ball and a magazine of Winchester Ranger. My winter carry is a P220 with a dot. This gun for IWB when deeper cover needed. A reminder of why SIG Meggar magazines have a oblong dimple at upper rear of the mag tube. See right mag.  Left magazine, an older Meggar. Act-Mag doesn't have the dimple either. The dimple keeps the top round from moving forward. If you eject a partial magazine without the dimple you will probably have to drag it out |

Didn't know why most have the dimple but some dont. I have a bunch of the stainless/silver 8 round mags but only 1 is missing the dimple. All work great though. My favorite mags are the old classic SIG, all-steel, 7 round mags. |
