Looking for a threaded bbl for my G19.6. I know some say that the Gen5 works but Glock says no. I’d rather have a proper Gen6 bbl. Anyone know of sources for these? |

I'm thinking this is going to have to do for the time being. I reached out to SiCo and they told me they have no intentions at the moment to make Gen 6 barrels. I spoke to a couple of my gun store guys locally about it and was told that when they spoke to the Glock rep, Glock wouldn't give him any ETA on Gen 6 OEM threaded barrels. So I don't know. The BA barrel is better than nothing at the moment and we could be waiting a very long time. On the other hand, something else might come available next week. You take your chances either way. |

They are basically the same, but they added a little relief cut on the Gen 6 because I guess they found in some cases the part on the trigger bar that activates the striker safety could hit the rear of the barrel. |

Correct, but (supposedly) the trigger has to be in the forward position with the slide back in order to make contact, which doesn't occur in normal firing. |
