Looking for recommendation's for an optics plate for a GP 100 with adjustable rear sight; Allchin, EGW, Griffon Hill, something else? I have had good luck with EGW products, but it looks like they sit pretty high. I haven't picked a dot yet. I suspect whatever I pick will be an enclosed emitter. I am guessing it will have a RMSc footprint. (I do have an do have a spare FF3 open emitter with Doctor footprint sitting around.) The gun itself is .357 and intended as a woods gun. The final package will need to take some abuse. It feels unnatural to put a dot on a revolver, but I am really having problems focusing on that front sight. |

I've had the Griffin Hill on a Super Blackhawk 44mag for a while now. Seems to work just fine. I was leary about the single screw and crosspin, but no problems. I do dislike that the ruger rear sight ears make the adapters sit up so high. Ive wondered if theres enough meat on the SBH top strap to get an ACRO footprint or something direct milled.
