Clone question. If one was to aim for a clone , which would be easier to build and/ or closer to being authentic? Option 1: Gen 3 G22 RTF Option 2: Gen4 G19 RTF MOS I will assume that one would need the following at a minimum. 1. OEM left hand threaded barrel 2. Slide cut for optic (maybe not on the G22?) 3. Suppressor Height Sights 4. Extended Slide Stop 5. Magwell Extension Thanks for helping me spend more money. |

Both are extremely difficult, the barrel being limiting factor(and up until recently the USA g4 mos) Afaik the the g22 LH threaded barrel was never available commercially. The only way to replicate it is to get a g35 barrel and have it cut/threaded(good luck finding someone that can do it, most smiths won’t work on Glock oem barrels) The g19 barrel is even more difficult. Haven’t been made in a number of years, and while they are cross compatible, it appears there are differences in the threads between gen 3 produced barrels, and gen 4. You can see the phot of my barrel which has a gen 3 serial number, and while I am waiting for confirmation, I believe gen 4/contract barrels have an additional 1-2 threads(doesn’t affect functionality though) |

The mod 3 is not an actual .mil firearm. It is a glock store thing. ETA Gen 5 Glock 19 MOS $586 from Deleon on ammoseek (could probably get closer to $550 somewhere else with coupon code) Ameriglo sights, extended release, and threaded barrel from the Glock Store $243 with 10% off coupon they will send you if you leave things in your cart for a little bit. RMR hard anodized coyote currently $522 at Primary arms, can do better if you watch for deals or coupon codes for different places. $1351 before shipping and tax versus $1550 plus you have a threaded and non-threaded barrel. |

| Thanks, it's what I suspected. While the barrels are interchangeable, the gen 3 variant has less threads than the Gen 4. The barrel I scored has profile that matches my old factory gen 3 17 TB model, and all of the later produced ones have the larger number of threads. Not functionally different, but I can settle for now until I find the correct one. |

I cut my teeth on 1911A1s. Every time I handle a 1911A1 it's like shaking the hand of an old friend. I must say these baby Glocks are very accurate. At the end of the day they are just tools. I usually buy them, shoot them, and then decide it's not significantly smaller than my 19s(especially when using the 12 rounders), sell them and stick with the 19. |

The 34 has a more square looking opening, while the 35 is pill shaped. The sights look like Glock adjustable to me, but they could easily be dawsons. Might or might not have conversion barrels. |
