Thanks for the replies. I have had several replies from shops that do this work say that it can't be done. My 19.5 has Zev style posts and no other recoil lugs. I'm not thrilled about the thought of an RCR with no recoil lugs once the posts are milled off. I looked at the HTX-1 but don't want the acs reticle which is the only option they ever have in stock. It's as good an excuse as any to buy a new G45 COA. I do have a blue label coupon burning a hole in my pocket. |

We're making a Gen 6 ORS adapter for COA in small batches. A-CUT will put the COA at around the same height as a P2 on an ORS slide, the footprint required must be of sufficient thickness to hold the front "lip" of COA. The plate has to be signficantly lightened unless it's aluminum, Aimpoint specifies the plate should be steel, ours will be 17-4 SS like our other Gen 6 plates. I like Aimpoint, COA is a great sight but A-CUT mandates a thick adapter plate when used on a modular system like MOS or ORS. Not a big deal, some folks like their RDS mounted low, a COA mounted on an adapter will not be that. |
