I bought one the other day, well, traded for it. Shot about 150 rounds yesterday. The ridiculously oversized slide stop is my only complaint. No conducive to my grip so I ground it down to a more normal size. I’ll keep updating, but so far I really like it. Used MecGar, Glock and MagPul mags and they all worked fine. Anyone else got one? |

There's a few of them around here. Parts are becoming more and more available every couple weeks. Fusion already has new slide releases available as well as a few other upgrades. My gas pedal slide stop came in yesterday (its marketed as non-lock back but the one I got is a lock back.. no complaints here its actually what I was wanting. I'll get some pics up soon but it's quickly becoming my favorite pistol I have. Once new grip modules hit the street I think it'll be hard to beat in the ds 1911 market.

What grip tape is that? I’m using just plain old fire department non-skid tape, but it’s not custom cut for the frame. Although it works, yours looks good. |

Turkish-made, supposedly QA'd by Fusion in Florida, but there have been a few quality issues that should’ve been caught if that were really the case 100% of the pistols being imported. Nothing huge that I've seen but one off examples of things that should've been caught. That said, the gun is a hell of a deal all things considered. If you have the skill or know-how to do some tuning, they can be made reliable. And since they run on Glock mags, it’s worth the effort not having to screw with the notoriously finicky 2011 mags. |

Reminds me of the old STI Spartan series. Barrel, slide and frame out of the Philippines and assembly and small parts in Texas (IIRC, maybe they shipped the internals to the Philippines and did final QC here). |

This, and if 2011 mags were 100% never problematic, dawson wouldn't sell tuned mags for 120.00. By and large, most fullsize or commander slide 2011, of high quality($$$) fed stout 9mm 124gr are problem free......mostly. |
