In kind of a weird twist of fate, myself and a handful of buddies, former colleagues, Gifts, inheritances, trades, etc. in the past year or two have led to us, with one exception of a rare, valuable example, Having some rough, shooter type guns needing a little TLC. There are a couple of big places that seem ideal for sending out a rare piece. For those of you just wanting a basic service and restoration, who would you use locally? We are in GA, NC, SC, and VA. Another guy on the KY/TN border will be in NC. A guy in MD is real close to VA. Those of us with a basic shooter that will cost 1K to restore and still only be worth 1K were talking and kind of don’t want to mess with shipping to a big place, but also don’t want to have them butchered by a hack. |
