| Preferably the LE version. Can only find it in 230 Gr which I have. Looking to go to 185 Gr for a little softer recoil. Anyone know where I can find some? Thanks |

I too would like to see a 185 HST load. Id also like to see a Winchester Ranger-T version in 185. Im not sure what a good analog would be. Maybe Critical Duty 185gr, Hornady's load using a 185gr XTP or maybe Winchester Silvertip (new stuff not the stuff from the 90's). Maybe Remington Golden Saber 185? I use a load by Sierra using a 185gr Sierra JHP. Very accurate. Not a deep penetrating load but a good compromise for shorter barrels. I think 185gr loads in the 45 have stagnated a bit since all the craze is with the 9mm now. |

For less recoil, I went with this 160 gr. copper load. Plus, it saves on overall weight and less weight on the mag spring. Which is usually a good thing in sub 4" 1911's in .45 due to slide velocity. 45 ACP 160gr DT LEAD FREE™ SC-HP Mann Load 20rds

| Streichers in Plymouth MN used to a good source of Federal and CCI LE ammo in 50 count boxes. Today 8/4 it looked sort of bleak. |
