I recently got into a Smith 610 ( an ORIGINAL 1990-ish gun ) and ordered a BMT moon clip tool.  The 610 comes with really nice half moon clips and Ranch Products full moon clips.  They are okay but seem maybe a bit flimsy to me.

What moon clips are you guys running????  What ones do you think are the best????

Gratuitous pic!!!!

I use Ranch and Wilson Combat.  I think TJ’s still makes them.  His are more expensive.
Good, bad, I'm the guy with the gun.

For my 625 I’ve got the rims plastic ones, wilson, TK custom stainless with slit and no slit, TK custom black basic, and some eBay special half moons. Going by feel since I don’t have a ton of use on them, I’d say for durability the TK custom stainless without the slit seem the most robust. The plastic rims ones are the handiest when it comes to loading and unloading the clips though.

I have a S&W 625 PC.  Wilson moon clips rub on the flash shield.  I do not know if this is because it's from the Performance center.  I use S&W Clips which I read are discontinued.

Ranch Products work well in my S&W 325 thunder ranch.  I can load them by hand and use the included tool to unload them.  It works great and takes up little space.

I picked up a used 610 a few weeks ago (wish I could have gotten a nice no lock earlier model, but this one was a very good deal and I already got rid of the lock, and otherwise its in amazing shape.  It came with a few unmarked clips, which work fine.  I also got some TK stainless full clips with the slits, and they do seem to be better quality than what came with the gun.

TKs dont bend out of shape as easily

I have TK blue and stainless clips for my .38.

The blue ones work fine but the stainless ones are tougher and less prone to bending.

They're also more expensive but worth it if you carry loaded clips in a pocket.

@desertmoon, I have a 610-2 and use the plastic ones from EZ. For my 940-1, I use TK . And for my Colt 1917, S&W 1917, 25-2, 625-3, and 625-6 I use Ranch Products . For my 442 Pro Series, I use whatever S&W had as their OEM since I purchased a batch of those from Big Blue when they were clearing them out.
