I recently got into a Smith 610 ( an ORIGINAL 1990-ish gun  ) and ordered a BMT moon clip tool. The 610 comes with really nice half moon clips and Ranch Products full moon clips. They are okay but seem maybe a bit flimsy to me.What moon clips are you guys running???? What ones do you think are the best???? Gratuitous pic!!!!

| For my 625 I’ve got the rims plastic ones, wilson, TK custom stainless with slit and no slit, TK custom black basic, and some eBay special half moons. Going by feel since I don’t have a ton of use on them, I’d say for durability the TK custom stainless without the slit seem the most robust. The plastic rims ones are the handiest when it comes to loading and unloading the clips though. |

| I picked up a used 610 a few weeks ago (wish I could have gotten a nice no lock earlier model, but this one was a very good deal and I already got rid of the lock, and otherwise its in amazing shape. It came with a few unmarked clips, which work fine. I also got some TK stainless full clips with the slits, and they do seem to be better quality than what came with the gun. |
