The FNX45 is the easy button though here IMO

USP45 or HK45.

Look for a Sig 227 or CZ 97. SAR also made a decent "clone".

The FNX 45 is a great gun.

Too few choices.

Or...

I’ll add, the FNX and FN-545 mags use the same mag body. You can get modify the base pad and get “factory” 18-round mags for the FNX-45.

Kimber also chambers the 2K11 in .45.

ACW also makes some nice ones if you want to spend some more cash.

The FNX is the only one that makes more than an ounce of sense. Not the best trigger but very accurate.

Full size DA/SA - FN FNX45T is the best if you're not into HK hero worship. SA - I only got to handle Kimber 2k11 at NRAAM, feels really nice. The magazine capacity is 13 rounds. Honorable mention for a fully cajunized CZ97 but only 10 rounds and the threaded barrels are $$$ aftermarket, and have to be hand fitted to the gun.
Carry sized - I'd love to hear any suggestions myself. Except Springfield XD-LGBTQM.

Both are double stack.
Optics are over rated, but you can have have them milled if you really want.

Another vote for the FNX45T.

It took me years to finally get one as I was never interested in them enough. That was a big mistake, they’re awesome and were at least a decade ahead of their competitors.

Threaded. Rail. Optic ready. Safe, decock, cocked and locked, and double stack.

The guns perfect.
