I’m researching the history and development of the Colt prototype commonly called the “SCAMP” (Small Caliber Automatic Machine Pistol). I have been able to recover the original patent documents as well as the same few pictures and details that have circulated online for years. I reached out to a Colt archivist, and their records show the pistol was sold to the late John Keosayian, and may have been included in his estate dispersal. I reached out to a few different places (Royal Armouries, IMT, Rock Island, etc.), and no one was really able to find out much. I figured it couldn't hurt to ask here if anyone ever saw it or might know about the SCAMP's ultimate fate and whereabouts. I understand the importance of privacy and the likelihood that whoever currently has it wants to stay under the radar, but I'd love to get in contact with whoever might know where it is. As you are probably well-aware, the SCAMP has long been a subject of mystery and interest to the gun community, and it would be amazing to track it down and, if possible, show it off in a video.
