I looked at Derya website and it appears the 22 LR carbine sold by RIA is manufactured by Derya. I found the factory on google earth and it looks pretty modern. I’m not interested in the Derya G19 clone but I have a Girsan High Power clone and a MAC 1014 Benelli clone. The Turkish firearms appear decent at their current price point. |

| Couldn't pass up the $199.99 price tag. Received mine today and I'm actually quite impressed. Appears to be identical to a Gen4 internally except the extractor is longer, haven't tried swapping parts to see if they're interchangeable. Feels like every other plastic pistol, ergos are better to me than a Glock and it comes with extended slide release and takedown lever. Pins actually sit flush in the frame; it has fiber optic sights and a decent trigger. I'll be upgrading the trigger after I put a few hundred rounds thru it. Haven't had the opportunity to shoot it yet, tomorrow morning looks promising. Overall, I'm satisfied thus far with the $200 gun. I noticed the day after purchase the price jumped to over $400. |

I thought about jumping in at $199, but passed and the FDE version is now $229. FDE version is regular, black version starts at $269 and is optic cut. No real details yet that I have found on how it is cut. There's a fella on a Facebook group who's going to do a bit of a review of when he picked up. He said stock G19 magazines do not fit but G17 magazines do. The stock magazine is G19 like but with a proprietary base plate. The magazine well is removable and he will be posting photos soon. I found a YouTube short where somebody swapped a G19X slide and showed the 19 round magazine inserted. This screenshot gives a decent view of the length of the magazine well. If I get a bunch of stuff sold in the next couple days, I may pick one up just to try out. People say it fits G19 holsters, but a lot of people say the PSA dagger does as well, and that's not really true. Attached File |

I just stumbled across one at the local store and picked it up at $199. I shot a few photos so far and loaded some mags. I will try to get a shooting report soon. Uploading pics. Out of the box.  Clone wars: G19-4  Slide exchange, Glock fits better than DY9:   Familiar guts:   Plastic magwell removed easily fits Glock 19 mags, G19 Magpul mags fit perfectly with magwell:  G17 Magpul mag:  Downside is holster fit, here is a Safariland GLS generic holster. It fits in my M&P holsters, snaps into Serpa for M&P.

I did a 230 round torture test with a mix of home rolled and WWB. I basically just pulled the trigger until empty, reloaded and repeated. I had one actual stoppage which was an empty case in the ejection port ontop of a partially chambered case. Flicked off the empty and back at it. I loaded up several big sticks and when racking them into the empty chamber it hung up, dropped mag, chambered loose round, inserted mag and shot the mag till empty. No similar hang ups on the shorter pistol mags. It was very hot when done. Initial 5 rounds was to check zero, it shot low. I did not do an accuracy test.  I popped the rear sight to see if a Glock factory sight would fix shooting low but the cut is larger on the dy9. The gun also sports an external extractor unlike the Glock version. |

I thought about the FDE for $199 at PSA this weekend, but tax (I'm NOT in SC), shipping and transfer would bring it to $257. Grabagun (local company) carries the black 10rd version for around $262 (when in stock). Grabagun always send me $15 and $20 off coupons, Plus no shipping or transfer fee (still paying tax, but they are in Texas, so that's how that works). Plus I prefer the all black look AND the black version is optic cut. I don't care either way about 10 round or 15 round magazines because I'm not going to use them anyway. I'm going to use standard G17 magazines since they fit best in the included magazine well. |
I put 1100 rounds through one in a single range session, had two hiccups with fiocchi range dynamics, but everything else including JHP ammo ran great, the gun was accurate, even if i do shoot low left but im working on it.
