I got a base model Dagger, and put the Holosun 407C PSA sells without the useless solar panel. Observations: The handgun is accurate. The trigger (subjective to me) is better than a stock Glock. But will take more rounds to get good at, as it is quite a bit different than Glock. Optic cut seemed good, but I have little experience there. I find the ergonomics pleasant, but I am a Glock shooter. So, the bar is low. Lol. No failures to feed, fire or eject. Interesting notes: The slide will not lock open with a couple of my Gen4 G19 Glock mags. I think it is because the springs are weaker, from use, but they function 100% in my Glock 19. This leads me to believe the geometry of the slide stop is different. I might get a Glock OEM one to drop in to see what happens. About 5 other Glock Mags and 6 Magpul mags have no issues. Internal slide finish wear seems to happen fast. External barrel wear observed, probably finish and not material. Nothing I am personally concerned with, but worth noting. There is a lot more lateral magazine movement inside the gun than Glock, i think this is due to the magazine release tolerances. I am not sure. I have read stories about Daggers ejecting mags under recoil, so I would not be surprised to find mag release geometry changes from Glock. Not sure. Glad to see some activity in a otherwise rather dead forum. For a while, the magazine releases were so hard to push in the people started buying piano wire from hobby lobby as a replacement. I never had an issue with magazines, but once I found out I can sell used magazines for $20 on Reddit (quickly), I just buy new magazines every year (on sale } and sell all my old ones. Five red the same thing about the barrel finish wear. I never actually used PSA barrels. I always sold the barrel and RSA from any dagger Twilight I bought and used aim surplus stainless steel barrels and OEM Glock RSAs. No worry about the finished wearing off if the barrel doesn't have finished to begin with  One of the biggest issues with the dagger is holster fitiment. Some glock holsters work well, some glock holsters won't accept a dagger at all. Ironically, I ended up with a left hand safariland 6378 for an M&P that fit a dagger without light absolutely perfectly. But since the gun has been out for a few years, there are enough small time holster makers that you can get just about anything you're looking for. |

I did have an older Kydex Glock pancake holster that fit. I ground the sweat guard off with a Dremel to fit the optic. Does not fit in my Safariland Glock holsters, but “suspect” it might in a light bearing one that indexes retention off the light. Fitment issues seem to happen near the dust cover. I am not sure and have nothing to test this. I ordered a Trex Arms AIWB holster specific to the Dagger for further testing. Should be here Monday. |

I started buying them as play things. They had those super-cheap sales and most of the complete guns I am in for $250. All have proven reliable. I don’t have a lot of rounds thru each gun but I think I have 4. Buying pairs of cheap lowers led to me buying cheap uppers. I am not a trigger snob, all have pretty reasonable triggers. I love the Micro Dagger too. I made a post several years ago about M&P holsters fitting well. |

I bought 4 frames and have been experimenting with them using Glock slides and a .22 conversion slide. I do intend to get a Dagger slide for one eventually, but it's not a priority. Also, I am a poor, so I have to spread out my hobby spending. I have not put a lot of rounds through any of the combos, but I like them so far. They fit my hand well - even better than Glocks. The trigger, while different, works fine and isn't heavy enough to inhibit good shooting. I like the slide release and takedown. I always replace those on Glocks with a extended ones, but the Dagger one works well enough as-is. The one thing I really don't like is the mag release, and I replaced them all with Glock extended ones. They are still pretty stiff, but the extended button makes it easier to use. Since I've been swapping around a lot of frame/slide combos, I did notice something. I can't put a slide on the dagger frame without resetting the trigger, but I can do that with a Glock frame. It's not like that 2 seconds it takes me to try it, remember the trigger has to be reset, and then do it again matters enough, but it's just something I notice. |

Kind of weird, I saw the True Valley bag and think hardware which makes me think of a certain hardware store that a member was fond of..... SC members will know, now back to your regular programming. ETA, keep an eye on your Micro magazine baseplates. If they start bowing and you want to change them, Excess Arms makes aluminum replacements and extensions. I haven't tried their extensions yet but the baseplates have been gtg and give me more confidence in the mags. |

I got a few of those mags because they were cheap, and I have not had any issues with them, but there's something about them that doesn't inspire confidence. I only use them for spare range mags. OE Glock mags are used for important things. I also prefer the Glock mags because I can see how many rounds are in them from the outside. |

Mine was very reliable and accurate, considering I was shooting it. lol I bought it to see if I liked the newer striker fired triggers. The last striker gun I had was way back in the early 2000's, and there's been improvements. I liked it enough that I bought two S&W M&P 2.0 guns in .40S&W. Those triggers are fantastic for striker guns. I'm spoiled, a 1911 guy all my nearly 60 years. I have a thread on here if it's still active. I had failures, but it turns out all of those were from handloads that I loaded on a press that was going bad and causing the variations. I bought a Dillon 550 a few years ago, and everything loaded on that press was great. I took all of the bad ammo and ran it through the Dillon and corrected it. All of that ammo, once corrected was gtg in that Dagger. So, the only 3 failures I had with the Dagger that weren't ammo related, was in the first 100 rds if I remember. The striker channel had filled with brass from the sharp edges in the chamber, and it was keeping the striker from moving freely enough to give a full impact to the primers. After the channel was cleaned, every round fired ( with the exception of the rounds loaded on the Hornady LNL AP). I didn't report on all rounds fired after the first 500. I put another 1,000 through it with no malfunctions. I used Glock mags. I see no need trying aftermarket mags, when Glock mags are some of the best in the world, and are cheap enough. |
