Why is Colt not making the Anaconda in 45 Colt....they used to and its COLT...named after them. OR Why are they not making revolvers in other calibers? 9mm especially is popular in a 9mm. 45acp would be nice as well. They selling so many pythons and anaconda's that they can't do this? |
| I've asked myself the same question of the Anaconda in .45 Colt. I missed my chance to pick one up many years ago and still regret it. |

Maybe I'm missing something, but I have several 45acp revolvers along with a LOT of others. I've never noticed the moon clips having an affect on trigger pull, and I'm not sure how that would happen. To the OP, I think right now Colt is sticking with the "low hanging fruit". 38/357, 22lr, and 44 Magnum are the bread and butter of revolver sales. Colt is IMHO doing a pretty good job on their revived revolver line and I am hoping they keep at it. As a die-hard Smith fan, they needed the competition. Plus, I really do like my new 3 inch Python..... |

Not colt but S&W 625's are not as popular as they once were, but the 9MM 929 and 986 seem to work well. |

I was never going to shoot casule rounds out of one anyway. Just saying. As soon as I spot a 4" anaconda in 45 colt, I am buying one. |

I went to this gunshop on the other side of the county I had not been to before. They have been running ads on television lately. Many Colt revolvers and 1911's. Not so much for Colt rifles. They did have a MKE HK 53 pistol and a SBR 1927 Thompson. Anyway, They had a King Cobra .22 4 1/4" and a 617 4" to compare side by side. Purchased the King Cobra and got on (actually started) a list for a 4 1/4" .45 Colt Anaconda. |

I think people generally do not like 45ACP or 9mm revolvers because mooning and de-mooning clips kind of sucks. I’ve never noticed them negatively affecting trigger pull, but they are a consumable. |
