I found a 2nd generation 1950s to 1970s Colt Detective 38 spl. at my local gun shop. His listed price is $650.00. It is in good shape (some holster wear). Is this a fair price for this old firearm?.

Seems decent. There’s one at my LGS for around $550/$600 I was thinking about.

$600 - $800 for that model and generation in very good condition seems to be the normal selling price these days.
