Thought I’d drop the feedback on checkmate magazines. Specifically their customer service. Awhile back I bought half a dozen checkmates for my 1911’s based on an arfcomers recommendations. 5 of those have behaved flawlessly. One was occasionally problematic with nosediving the top round from a full mag or top rd popping out on mag insertion. I sidelined it and didn’t much worry over it. Finally decided nothing lost asking checkmate what could be done. Figured I’d be buying a new follower or spring or whatnot. Sent an email and got decently quick response. After a little back and forth my contact kinda went quiet. No response. Ok. Not first time in my life this stuff happens. Didn’t sweat it. Fast forward 6-8 weeks and I get an email. They’re sending me TWO replacment mags. One to replace my defective mag and one as an apology for the delay (said they’d switched web something or other). So now I’ve just got my 2 new mags sitting here. I’m just speechless. These are great magazines and customer service is just amazing. I couldn’t keep quiet about this had to tell someone and my wife doesn’t care lol. |
| Checkmate is in the Dank by the LIRR station. Wyandanch,NY. Used to work around there. The shop and their precision is a vestige of the LI aerospace industry, RIP. Their m1A mags are GTG. They're a .gov contractor and OEM for Springfield Armory. |

I didn't know they still existed. Thought a cash grab during the war. I have a ton of 92FS mags that need warranty for FTF. |
Seriously, a tractor dealer from Possum Trot, KY has to explain this to you, a lawyer? - JPL
