I'm in the market for a belt and can pick up the Kore from a local shop. Before committing, I wanted to see what the "AFRomers" recommend for a first-time buyer. I'm also considering taking advantage of Black Friday sales on Amazon. If Kore is the best option, I'll grab it from the shop. Any suggestions? |

Blue Alpha Solid kit. I'm on my 3rd year. Wilderness before that, had issues with the velcro losing stitches and shitty CS, so I moved on. |

I have 2 Kores. One nylon and one leather. The metal IWB clips have eaten the nylon and frayed it badly. Still usable but unsightly. There’s some wear on the leather but it’s not bad. My vote there is leather. I also have a wilderness instructor belt that is quite good. It’s much older by a couple of years yet shows less wear than the nylon Kore. I prefer the positive ratcheting buckle of the Kores for normal use. My wilderness will occasionally slip a bit, requiring a quick tug to snug it back up. That said even the nylon Kore is a very decent value. I wear some thick Duluth pants which coupled with the Kore thickness means the belt clips are constantly very right when they hook under the belt. With thinner denim there’d likely be less wear on the belt. When/if the Kore nylon fails I’ll replace it with a Kore leather. |

Update: I picked up a WOLF TACTICAL Heavy Duty Simple EDC Belt as a short-term solution since I had an Amazon gift card to use. I've been eyeing the Tenicor Zero Belt for a while now, but it's always sold out. Not knowing when it'll be back in stock is what led me to go with this temporary option. |

 Failed To Load Title I like the Kore EP a lot. For OWB carry it’s a great option; if going IWB, the outer belt may help hide the clips if that’s important to you. |

For me, I am either doing three things 1. EDC - will probably put a gun belt on at some point to train daily so I want inner belt. 2. Professional, need nice looking belt 3. Going to match, need inner belt. 4. Long distance travel. This is infrequent and when I use it. That being said my main carry belt is a velcro inner belt. |
| I carried professionally in business settings for years, now just carry in business dress and business casual at work, and of course in suummer casual clothing on my own time. The 5.11 casual leather dress belts are an incredible value and are thin enough to not jack up the belt loops on a $150 pair of wool blend slacks. I use then with shorts on my own time also. The brown and black pair of these I bought have lasted me years. I am looking at some of the suggestions here for a more casual looking belt. |

They look good too with just about any type of clothing. How do these Beltman belts work with heavier full size big bores? I think I’d avoid the stiffener. As per OP, the ratcheting nylon belts work well and adjust on the fly. I have the Kore, but have had others. The Kore is the best if you go ratcheting. It works great with lightweight CCW type guns, but struggles with guns above 30 oz in my opinion. It really struggles when you get above 40 oz. |
