Well I need a new carry gun and after finger playing with a Canik Rival I was amazed by the trigger. I saw this Mete SF on Cabela's website for $299 and it looks practically brand new. Is this worth grabbing? And how can you tell how old it is?

$370 $325 I love the Mete series guns. I have the $370 one on order with Double M. They are my local dealer. I have multiple Caniks and they are quickly becoming my favorite guns. This will be my first Mecanik sight. For $50 more I figured why not try one. Worst case scenario I’ll put it on one of my micro daggers. The Rival’s do have a better trigger but the standard Mete trigger is really good. If your Glock owning buddies end up shooting it just tell them you have an aftermarket trigger in it. No reason to embarrass them. It will just make things awkward. 😂 |

For $299...send it! I took a chance on Canik because I had always turned my nose up at "budget" pistols. Been extremely happy with my Canik SFX Rival. Canik is generally reliable, usually have phenomenal triggers, and are packed with features and value for the price. If people ask about a striker fired 9mm but can't afford Glock, M&P, HK, or Walther...I always recommend Canik. |

I bought it then Cabela's canceled my order because it was out of stock.  So I found a shop 3 miles away that had them in stock for $349 so I bought it today. It's pretty nice. I already have a brass backstrap on the way, freedomsmith trigger, and calculated kinetics optics plate on the way as of last night.

Canik SF magwells aren’t currently available to purchase separately. They don’t come with the One series. But here is what Canik told me about them. “Good morning, This is not something that Canik USA currently sells separate from the firearm. It will be available in the future due to customer demand for it. My recommendation would be to sign up for the Canik newsletter on canik.com. This way you will be notified when the product drops. There may be aftermarket options available. Thank you for contacting Canik USA” |

| Paid $399 for my MC9 Mete which was good deal at the time. It needed some tweaking but it's still my EDC. I think my issues were due to shortcuts they took in designing the subcompact. Oversprung extractor, undersprung recoil assembly. FFD, it never actually failed during shooting but I could tell the slide was dragging when going into battery so it drove me nuts. Tuned extractor, heavier recoil spring at no cost from Canik, much better now. |
