I recently put a CZ back in the safe in the form of an excellent condition, damn-near-like-new CZ75BD Police. Historically I’ve strongly preferred the SP-01/P-01/PCR models, but the deal on this one was impossible to ignore and I haven’t had a CZ pistol in some years. Are these rare enough that I need to leave it alone and wait for yet another good deal on the aforementioned models to dick with? Or will I not anger the CZ gods by giving this one some love? It’s nice as-is and I don’t think I see myself milling it for a dot or anything, but some Novaks and the usual CGW/CZC bits would make it that much nicer. If the Police models are worth leaving alone though, I think I can manage that. Just looking for current input. I am NOT treating this as an “investment,” but if I wanna start collecting the whole set again I don’t want to have a need to buy the same model twice because I fiddled with the first one, if that makes sense. |

The high polish Stainless 75s seem to be a collectible as well. As for the Police, I wouldnt hesitate to put a CGW carry kit in it. It makes no permanent mods to the gun, save the parts you take out if the future requirement is a stock pistol. run it |

I'm not sure but just thinking this is the predecessor to the PCR or the steel framed version they just call the "Compact" nowadays? How does it compare to those two dimensionally? I'm all about double action (not DAO) in carry guns and I'm all about CZ quality/accuracy out of the box. I have a tricked out PCR for carry and a well worn stock SP-01 Tac for fun. Trouble is, I haven't been able to get used to the small size of the PCR for EDC. I'm a big dude with big hands. I appendix carry a heavily modified G17 daily with no problem, I like everything about it... except the trigger. My right nut has concerns too but has been over ridden psychologically for the most part. I dove into the PCR without checking depth basically and I'm thinking a regular old BD would have been a better choice. Now you tell me there may be something else out there I should be looking for? |

The 75BD Police is a full-size, so it’s bigger than a 75 Compact or PCR. Sounds like it might be worth looking at in your situation! Haven’t gotten my Police out to the range yet (adulting…), but looking forward to it! I did get a set of VZ grips for it, but so far that’s all I’ve done to it. |
