Just got the news that the B, BD, and Compact models are discounted. End of an era in my opinion. Also the configurator has had all sorts of issues the last week and now is suspended. Apparently they're trying to fix it. CZ Disappoints Sometimes CZ announced on Thursday that 2026 will "mark the conclusion of production for three CZ 75 models: the CZ 75 B, CZ 75 BD, and CZ 75 Compact." |

While production of these select classic models is concluding, this moment should not be mistaken for the end of the CZ 75 story. We love them for what they stand for, but how many people buy them and carry them? My first CZ was a Compact, and it was awesome, but it's an all steel, DA/SA pistol with no decocker. I carry as my EDC one of the latest CZ pistols, a P10-S. Also remember that production capacity is limited by space available, and the sheer volume of production, especially in a continent still gearing up for war, classic and loved designs must make way for modern, practical and sought after designs. CZ signed a deal with another country for the BREN 2 rifles, and must deliver, plus the never ending need for them in Ukraine; it is very possible hard choices were made. Now one thing to think about is it is highly unlikely the factory will destroy the tooling and dies, so it is possible in the future limited runs could be made. Don't know, but it is possible. In the meantime, better get one now if you want one, as I alluded to earlier, even those surplus models are going to go up in price. I just wasn't allowed to say anything until today. |

I stopped looking at CZ's for new/better stuff a few years back. My carry pistol has to have thumb safeties, be accurate, be reliable and have an optic on it. I know people like the P10 but it misses out on the thumb safeties. The last two CZ's I bought were Omega models. A P07 DUTY .40 S&W and a CZ75 9MM. You guys can have all the plastic no safety CZs. I've been buying/carrying M&Ps for 3 or 4 years now. All three of the SIGs I have were discontinued for "better" stuff. Now some of the better stuff has proven not to be so much better. With CZ I'm nearly in the same boat. |
How you live your life is important. Just be sure the memory of how you died doesn't overshadow the tales of how you lived your life.

My first pistol was a CZ75 compact. I agree 100% on modernization. Theyre one of two that still make their non railed classic pistol. I believe Beretta is the only one making their original guns on the prodiction line and sig did the classic 226 run. I'm not sure if Sig is still doing them or if that was a limited thing. I actually recently unloaded much if my glock collection as I just love the P10 line of pistols. Ive had an F (old run of non optics green frame) and a C optics ready for a while. Im just much better with them and i love the slide design. I'm a huge CZ man and love the SP01 and P01. I imagine too that the sales of the Shadow and SP/P01 line has dramatically over taken the classic non railed versions. I can see them doing limited runs and I'm tempted to pick up one if the 50th anniversary guns. Just sad to see it go. I will say I beat myself up for not grabbing a suppresor ready SP01 Urban Grey when they were made and I for some reason had a thought the other day about stopping at a gun shop I always just drive by and never go to. Well saw a pristine Urban Grey SR SP01 with case and mags for $700 well under the inflated current market. Put it on layaway so it's not in my possession yet. But I'm so stoked. Also I imagine the Bren 3 for the American market is right around the corner and they're prepping the lines for that once import gets approved. |

I have a PCR and sp01 shadow. I sold the cz75 SA to recover what I spent on the shadow. I regret it put the pcr is easier to carry and the shadow can take a light if needed. I would hope that CZ is planning optic cut on the metal guns they are continuing. And just pick a single cut and go with it. Screw the adapter plates. |

Maybe someday I'll find a 97B-97BD swap out there. But gotta get out of this state first. |

I have an Armalite AR24 which I understand is a CZ75 clone. It's all steel and heavy as hell but it digests everything I put in it and is no heavier than a full size 1911. I have lusted for the CZ compact but at my age I don't want to spend any more money on handguns. At least not right now. I really need a tractor with a bucket and backhoe. So, guns are on the back burner. I am sorry to see CZ is going to stop building this classic. kwg |

Sarsilmaz makes outstanding pistols. |
