| Somehow I managed to break the little bump on the slide lock lever on my SR1911. I am not a big 1911 guy so I have no idea which way to go with a replacement. Any recommendations? Should I stay with factory since this is only a range toy? I researched a little bit and found out they make extended versions. One of the reasons I am not to fond of the platform is that i have to change my grip a lot to reach the lever. Would the extended version be better for that? Or just stay with the original style. I can't find any options on the ruger website either way. Also, I am looking for as close to drop-in as possible. I am primarily a Glock guy but also run a Sig. |

A standard 1911 part "should" be a drop in fit as I have not heard of incompatability with Ruger. Thanks, As I said I am not real familiar with the 1911's. Glock armorer (Parts changer)!

| I just wanted to suggest that since you like to use the slide stop to release the slide and you want to avoid shifting your grip, try using your left thumb after you insert the magazine, assuming you shoot right-handed. That way you don’t have to shift the grip of your shooting hand. |

| Thanks for all of the replies. Ruger sent me a new part. It was slightly different from the original in that the original had a relief cut on the frame side and this one did not. I had to do a bit of stoning to make it work but we are all good now I think. I haven't had an opportunity to shoot it yet but manual operations seem to be fine. |
