Any recommendations for a ratcheting CCW belt? I prefer brown leather or the look of. And a professional-ish buckle. I think being able to adjust my belt on a more macro level vs a hole every 1” would be a major benefit. Sometimes I just need a bit of breathing room after dinner ect but an entire hole is too loose. I’ve switched to AIWB and really find it more comfortable, but I a bit annoying I have to put my belt on backwards and get the buckle between my 2nd and 3rd belt buckle on the right. So plus if the buckle is small enough to close through belt loops so I can just move it to the side when carrying. Been using a crossbreed belt for forever. Think it’s time to get with the new tech. |

While not in your criteria of ratcheting, I have grown fond of the biothane belts from Black Arch Holsters. They use a 1/2" spacing, and the buckle is easy to deal with. Might want to give them a look. https://www.blackarchholsters.com/products/belt/ |

I love my Kore belt, wear it everyday. I've carried a Glock 19 w/ TLR7 & RMR AIW in a vedder holster with a pillow pad for 8 hours driving many times. The ratcheting lets me loosen it when I sit down and then it's easy to tighten when I get up again. Only thing that bugs me a little is that the tail of the belt can stick out, but they do give you a loop thing to keep it tucked. |

1.5" Black Leather Kore or with a slightly smaller buckle 1.5" Black Nylon Kore Full disclosure: I won't carry AIWB (too fat and with 50 years of carrying 3:30 either IWB or OWB muscle memory is a thing) so I'm not sure how either of the buckles may work for that method, but I use a tan nylon Kore with the X7 frequently and it's as good or better than any other gun belt I've ever used as far as supporting a gun and magazines. (Milt Sparks, AG Custom Gunleather, Daltech Force Steel Core gun belt) I will have to admit that my Milt Sparks sharkskin belt served me admirably for 10+ years carrying a Kimber Compact CDP and later a Springfield Armory Mil-Spec, both IWB and OWB, while (I think) looking good. The AG Custom belt was ordered with 3/4" spacing instead of the usual 1.0" spacing and worked well in that regard. The one I bought was a tad more casual looking than the MS belt. The Daltech steel core was rigid, so much so that sitting in a car for extended periods was a bit uncomfortable. It's life span was shorter than any others simply due to that fact. FWIW, I have the same issue with how rigid the Kore belts are (I have three of them), but they are easy to loosen up while sitting which relieves the pressure, and then tightening up when exiting the vehicle. |

The others are slimmer/TSA-friendly versions (didn't think there was such a thing, them TSA pipo being such Adam Henrys an' all) but there it is. While you're looking check out their accessories. If you like dump pouches, you'll love theirs. |

I have been using both the kore leather and their nylon covered belt for AIWB. My holster have metal clips and they’ve eaten the bottom edge of the nylon rather badly. The leather’s some wear but is still in excellent shape. They’ve got an excellent selection of buckles to choose from. When the nylon is finally totally junk I’ll buy another kore but this will likely be another belt. Overall imho they offer good value for the money. |

I've been using a NexBelt for about 18 months. It's kept its shape and stiffness, and I have no plans to replace it soon. | The leather Kore belts don’t hold up at all. I really like the design but the execution is very poor. Their “leather” is the same crap you get in $20 department store belt and they don’t last me a year of 2-3 days a week use, |

Kore for the win. I have had a couple of them for years now and wear the belt every day. By far the best EDC gun belt that I have used. The adjustment is so easy and quick. The ratchet interface has held up well without any slippage. When I click the belt, it stays where I put it and holds more weight than I put on it. Good assortment of buckles from dress to tactical looking. They usually have some good sales coming up during the holidays too. |
| I have several Kore belts both leather and nylon, they are not particularly.durable but work quite well while they last. The glue.inside them tends to.come loose under persistant use and the belt will bulge becoming useless. I carry a full.size.gun every day and they last me.about 4 months |
| I wish someone would produce a higher quality ratcheting belt. Kores are like a cheap department store belt with a ratcheting system and don’t last for shit. Something like Magpul’s dual layer belt belt with a ratcheting system would be amazing. |

I have two kore belts and they are great with the G48 or USPc, but suck imo with the 1911’s (edc). Ymmv |

I wonder if Kore’s QC has gone down, or what guys are doing with theirs? I started with Nexbelt ~9-10 years ago. After 3 years of EDC, the leather Nexbelt was as floppy as my regular leather belts. Their Cordura belts are a bit stiffer than their leather EDC belts. Tried Kore. 6 years, and the Kore leather EDC belt (which is even stiffer than the Nexbelt Cordura EDC), was just as stiff as when new. The only thing was that the Pitbull Tactical mag holder has sharp edges on the inside of the clip, and scratched the heck out of the leather. I’ve since switched to something that doesn’t have sharp edges, and replaced the leather belt. The scratches were the only thing that made me get a replacement. The even stiffer Kore EDC Cordura belt has held up fine over all those years (what I use for regular casual wear), and the Cordura doesn’t show any scratches from the sharp plastic clip. |
