After seeing more and more of the TX-22's set up with an FRT....I'm really starting to think I should get one sooner than later. That being said....it seems like all the threads I see about them (depending on the brand of FRT).....mention some type of filing, fitting, adjusting, etc,etc. Is there anything I can just buy, install in my surpressed TX-22, and run without having all kinds of hiccups? |

The original freedom fingers is pretty much install and brrrt. Not the cheapest option. Not even close. Most if not all of what I read (I read a lot) about fitting and slight mods were with other versions made by copycats jumping into the market. Or people having them made using published 3d files. Since then others have refined their offerings and more are drop in and go. I dont know any of those. You could try the previous posters option. But the OG freedom fingers version is good. Suppressed usually requires added slide weight. There are options youll have to research. Some you can buy like a new heavier slide endplate. |

I bought the $125 Freedom Finger TX22 FRT. We're still sighting a cheap red dot for it. But it makes it controllable.    I don't have a 22 suppressor a good friend of mine has 2 I could try out. But until Taurus restocks barrel adapters, I wont be able to comment on running a TX22 suppressed. I refuse to pay almost $60 for barrel adapter off ebay when Taurus sells em for $9. |

Wondering if its possible to epoxy a .005" thick piece of steel over it if it would stil work. |

I picked up a TX22 today (compact version, and came with a threaded barrel adapter which was a surprise to me), and I'm starting to shop around for an FRT. I would say I know a fair bit about AR FRTs, but nothing at all about this one. My preference would be to buy one which comes with weights and extra strength housings, if needed, but I'm also game to just buy the replacement disco and go from there. Is there a reason the Freedom Finger is so expensive, in comparison to the other ones out there which seem to range from 10-40 bucks? |

Thanks I think all TX22 barrels are threaded. My full size didn't come with a thread adapter. However once installed I realized I really didn't want to take it out. So no interest in buying the $6 version on my part. |
