Seems a new shipment of Beretta 70 pistols must have arrived. I've seen AimSurplus, Classic Firearms, and Cabela's Used Guns have listing for this pistol. Looks like these are 32acp and threaded for 1/2x28. Go for around $300 depending on vendor. Checking the pictures on Cabela's, the slide finishes do look worn and chipped. Anyone shot a Beretta 70 series pistol? How does it compare the 80 series? I have a handful of Beretta 84bb and 87bb. Those shoot well for me. Have been wanting to get a threaded 32acp barrel from Allegheny Arms to convert one of my Beretta 84 over to 32acp for suppressor use. However AAGW is out of stock on their Beretta barrels. |

I have two 22 70's series. One short, one long barrel. Nice pistols. Sort of a 1934 Mk II. Well built, reliable, decently accurate. Can't speak for the 32 version but I can't imagine them not working. A word of caution. I've been on a 32 kick the last few years. Picked up a lot of interesting pieces, but on several I have found spare mags to be difficult to impossible to find. Triple K makes mags for most of them, and they will work as range mags, most of the time. If you want more than one mag, look before you leap. Especially if you want original factory mags. |

Nevermind on this. Allegheny Arms just posted pre-order for both the 32acp & 380 barrels for the Beretta 84. Sure, two threaded barrels is more than a single Beretta 70, but the magazine availability comment made a good point. Glad I waited on buying the Beretta 70. Now time to see how long the pre-order takes to fullfill from AAGW. Fortunately I've used them for AR work, so I trust them. |

The AAGW threaded .32 barrels for the 81 and such work very, very well. Shooting my 81BB suppressed yesterday made me giggle with how awesomely quiet it is. Everyone else who shot it also had a huge grin:
